A TRAVÉS DE LA VENTANA. De lo real a lo virtual

Abstract

Through the window is a theoretical-practical project which starts from photography to integrate it later into the painting. The theme is based on an observation and reflection of the city through the discrimination of the different spaces that shape it (inside-outside, public-private), divided by walls and connected by windows. The window here is not only understood as an architectural object, but also as a the screen of our smart phones and computers, because both objects share the same purpose: in the first case it connect spaces, in the second realities (material-virtual), creating an analogy between watching through somebody else¿s windows and using social networks. In this context, a formal element turn up, the line. It establishes a journey through the different environments where photography and painting dialogue creating an interesting expressive context.

A través de la ventana es un proyecto teórico-práctico que parte de la fotografía para integrarla posteriormente en la pintura. La temática se basa en una observación y reflexión de la ciudad mediante la discriminación de los diferentes espacios que la conforman (interior-exterior, público-privado), divididos por muros y conectados por ventanas. La ventana aquí no es entendida solamente como objeto arquitectónico, sino también como la pantalla de nuestros dispositivos móviles y ordenadores, debido a que ambos objetos comparten una misma función: conectar en el primer caso espacios, en el segundo realidades (material-virtual); creando una analogía entre observar a través de ventanas ajenas y utilizar las redes sociales. En este contexto, irrumpe un elemento formal, la línea. Se establece así un recorrido a través de los diferentes entornos donde la fotografía y la pintura dialogan creando un interesante contexto expresivo.
