Pensamiento y arquitectura en Peter Zumthor

Abstract

[ES] En este trabajo se muestra la importancia del conocimiento del arquitecto Peter Zumthor con el fin de entender adecuadamente su arquitectura. Mediante un estudio de su pensamiento, comprendemos los recursos que emplea para crear su obra. Encontramos una arquitectura con un gran apoyo intelectual y de sensibilidad concebida a través de la experiencia, la memoria, lo material y lo real, que se basa en la fenomenología. Tras el entendimiento del pensamiento del arquitecto se realiza un análisis de tres obras de gran relevancia a lo largo de su trayectoria, donde se reflejan la coherencia de las ideas que el arquitecto quiere transmitir al usuario a través del uso de los sentidos.

[EN] In order to properly understand Peter Zumthor's architecture, a thorough analysis of the importance of his knowledge is needed. In fact, it is only after examining his thought when we are able to understand the different resources that he uses in order to create his works. Indeed, what we find is an architecture with a great intellectual support, on the one hand, and another full of sensitivity, on the other. This latter actually conceived through experience, memory and real elements which, in turn, are based on phenomology. Having understood the architect's thought, an accurate study of three of his greatest works is carried out. It is precisely in these works where the coherence among the different ideas that the architect wants to transmit to his audience through the senses is reflected.
