El feminismo hoy a través de Internet. Nuevas formas artística en el soporte digital

Abstract

Desde el desarrollo en los últimos años de las nuevas tecnologías, Internet y las redes sociales, diferentes movimientos sociales han sufrido un considerable auge, llegando así a nuevos colectivos que han decidido implicarse directamente con ellos. Entre ellos, el Feminismo y sus nuevas formas e inquietudes aplicadas a los nuevos tiempos, ha encontrado en las redes sociales una vía de comunicación para hacer llegar información a todos los puntos del planeta. A raíz de esto, nuevas formas artísticas han surgido como consecuencia de todo ello, encontrando el soporte virtual como el único formato conocido para su existencia. Así, con este proyecto se pretende hacer una revisión tanto de las redes sociales, en constante actualización, como de los movimientos feministas en la actualidad y las nuevas formas de arte surgidas como consecuencia de estas sociedades del cambio y lo virtual.

Since in recent years the Internet and social networks have become an essential part of the average citizen¿s life, the world cannot be understood without its influence, becoming the most effective way of information transmission today. The fourth wave feminism has found in digital support the place to continue its fight, using it as the main means of communication and transmission of ideas to promote the empowerment of women. Using the body as the main point of view and concern, some feminist movements seek its liberation through the web format to overcome stigmas still present, fomented by patriarchal and capitalist societies of the body worship and the image. Through new ways of creation and artistic forms, whose existence can only be understood in the web format, feminists seek to fight against taboos that have resisted the pass of the time in order to achieve an unified movement that could erase those forms of oppression that today continue conditioning the life of women in the whole world. With this project intends to make a review about how feminist movements nowadays grow up thanks to social networks, and analyze the new forms of art emerged as a consequence of these societies of change and the virtual, around the idea of the empowerment of women through the Internet.
