LA MIRADA Y LA MAGIA DE LO OCULTO. Paradojas e ilusiones entre la representación y el espacio

Abstract

El presente proyecto práctico es una exploración sobre las tensiones que sufre el espacio en su definición, conceptualización o representación. Trata de averiguar las tiranteces que existen entre éste y su formalización, como sucede en la zona donde se encuentran el espacio de representación y el espacio físico. Este propósito toma forma a través de la ejecución fotográfica que visibiliza ese terreno de tensión en la configuración de las imágenes. Al utilizar este medio se pretende explorar y a la vez poner en cuestión la excesiva credibilidad que depositamos en la imagen. Lo aparente y lo real conviven en nuestro umbral perceptivo dando lugar a la paradoja. En este juego de ilusiones, el ejercicio se vuelve cada vez más difuso al verse expuesto por un artificio mayor, la fotografía, electora de artificios y engaños. Así pues, trataremos de esclarecer algunas de estas cuestiones o al menos aportar diversas deducciones de los ejercicios llevados a cabo.

The present practical project is an exploration of the tensions that space suffers in its definition, conceptualization or representation. It tries to find out the tenseness that exists between it and its formalization, as it happens in the zone where the space of representation and the physical space meet. This purpose takes shape through the photographic execution that visualizes that terrain of tension in the configuration of the images. By using this medium we intend to explore, and at the same time to question, the excessive credibility that we deposit in the image. The apparent and the real coexist in our perceptual threshold giving rise to the paradox. In this game of illusions, the exercise becomes increasingly diffuse when exposed by a greater artifice, photography, elector of artifices and deceptions. Thus, we will try to clarify some of these questions or at least provide various deductions from the exercises performed.
