ESPACIOS QUE ESPERAN. CONSTRUCCIÓN DE VÍNCULOS EN TERRITORIO URBANO A TRAVÉS DE LA ACCIÓN COLECTIVA

Abstract

El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo inicial el análisis de las posibilidades que la práctica artística nos brinda para modificar las relaciones que se dan en el espacio urbano a través de la acción colectiva. La investigación comienza con un proceso de contextualización de la relación del sujeto con el espacio en territorio urbano para después abordar las temáticas que nos ayuden a dirigirnos hacia un cambio de paradigma sustentado sobre las bases del procomún y de la práctica artística. La parte práctica del trabajo se desarrolla en un barrio concreto localizado en la periferia de la ciudad de Valencia, el barrio de Orriols. A través de una relación directa con el espacio y sus habitantes se activa un proceso de vinculación con el territorio que se materializa en forma de taller colaborativo en el que se estudian los espacios vacíos del barrio y se lleva a cabo una instalación colectiva como resultado gráfico de dicho taller.

The initial aim of the current thesis is the analysis of the possibilities provided by artistic practice to modify human relations in urban space through the practice of this action. The research begins with the contextualization of the subject¿s relationship with space in urban territory. It then addresses the (tactical) topics which would help us towards a paradigm change, based on pro-common (ground or environment) in combination with the artistic practice itself. The practical part of the work takes place in a selected neighborhood located in the suburbs of the City of Valencia, namely the neighborhood of Orriols. With the objective of activating a process of linkage with the urban territory, the formation of a direct relation between the space and its inhabitants is sought. This process is materialized through the participation of the residents in a collaborative workshop, in which the neighborhood¿s empty spaces are inquired and through this inquiry a collective graphic installation fills the former empty space.
