POÉTICAS DE LA CONTEMPLACIÓN: una aproximación pictórica a la niebla

Abstract

En Poéticas de la contemplación se han recogido ideas, impresiones y sentimientos relacionados con el paisaje, con el propósito de trasladar al espectador, mediante un recorrido teórico-práctico, emociones desprendidas al contemplar la naturaleza. Esto nos conduce a elaborar una serie de cuestiones técnicas y a llevarlas a un plano de creación, desde una mirada propia y partiendo de la experiencia más próxima. Desde hace unos años, nos sentimos atraídos por los paisajes contemplados en el siglo XIX por los grandes maestros como Friedrich o Turner. Aquellos en los que la bruma y la niebla no dejan traspasar la mirada por el paisaje. Aquellas lejanías que niegan y que esconden, que dificultan contemplar, pero que sin embargo, activan la imaginación mediante la sugerencia. Por ello, viajamos al norte de Europa y nos apropiamos de paisajes, caminos y luces. Aprendimos a vivir con la lluvia y la ausencia de luz. A través de este proyecto pictórico, pretendemos acercarnos más a ese misterio y poetizar, con la práctica pictórica, sobre una línea de horizonte que en ocasiones está y en otras desaparece.

In Poetics of Contemplation we collect a series of ideas, impressions and feelings about the landscape wanting to transfer, through a theoretical-practical route, to the spectator emotions detached when the nature is contemplated. This leads us to elaborate a series of technical questions and to bring them to a plane of creation, from a look of its own and based on the closest/experience. For some years, we have been attracted to the landscapes contemplated in the nineteenth century by great masters such as Friedrich or Turner. Those pictures in which mist and fog do not let you look through the landscape. Those distances that deny and hide, which difficult contemplation, but which nevertheless activate the imagination through suggestion. For this, we travel to the north of Europe and we appropriate landscapes, paths and lights. We learned to live with rain and the absence of light. Through this pictorial project, we intend to get closer to that mystery and make a poetic with pictorial practice, on a horizon line that is sometimes and that disappears in others.
