Abstract

"Para un artista toda su vida es una forma de entender su trauma"

El trauma del gr. traûma "herida". Es un término que hace referencia a una lesión duradera producida por un agente mecánico, generalmente externo. Para nuestra investigación nosotros abordaremos la apreciación que afecta a la psique humana, aquella que causa en ella en una impresión negativa.

El principal propósito de este estudio es desarrollar un trabajo artístico desde el punto de visto conceptual y proyectual, que contenga la dimensión expresiva de trauma mental; explorar el fenómeno del trauma mediante del lenguaje artístico interdisciplinar, examinando su naturaleza a través de la fotografía digital y la performance.

Esta investigación versa en aquellos artistas que han examinado dicha temática en su obra, algunos de la talla de Christian Boltanski, Louise Bourgeois, Günter Brus y otros de manera más anónima desde la contemporaneidad.

La parte práctica del estudio, el proyecto "Traumatic State" está orientado a presentar los conceptos científicos en la obra artística, para ello hemos indagado y analizado la terminología del psicoanálisis y otros estudios relacionados con el tema.

Este ensayo es intento de aunar la ciencia, el arte y la tecnología amalgamando los conocimientos en un crisol de la investigación universitaria, vertebrada por la experiencia traumática de la identidad.

A word "trauma" comes from Greek word traûma which means "wound". It is a term that refers to an injury that is produced by external mechanical factors. In our research we discuss the mental pressure that affects a human psyche and causes an emotional or negative impression.

The main purpose of this study is to develop an artistic work from the conceptual point of view and express visual dimension that contains the expressive state of mental trauma. In addition, we explore the phenomenon of trauma via digital photography and the performance art. These methods are very useful and appropriate when it comes to exploring human psyche.

This investigation concentrates on works of those artists that have examined this topic, like Christian Boltanski, Louise Bourgeois, Günter Brus and others.

Regarding the practical part of the work, the project "Traumatic State" attempts to present certain scientific concepts by using different artistic methods e.g., examining the terms and qualities of psychological trauma, taking the theory of psychoanalysis as a basis.

This essay is an advanced concoction of science, art and technology. It presents a well-done combination of theoretical knowledge and practical research into an individual traumatic experience.
