Guardianes de la naturaleza. Realización de un cómic One-shot

Abstract

Este proyecto consiste en una propuesta que establece las bases de un cómic One-Shot, que será realizado en el futuro, y cuyo tema principal es la protección y respeto de la naturaleza; los personajes de la historia son miembros de tribus amerindias (5 en total, representadas cada una por un animal) y la fauna autóctona, está ambientado en un entorno natural y primitivo de índole semi-fantástico. Los protagonistas de la trama son 5 individuos que representan a sus respectivos pueblos, estos deberán superar un difícil desafío para convertirse en guardianes del bosque, adquiriendo de este modo las habilidades y aspectos morfológicos de los animales que definen su etnia.

Para crear este cómic, se realiza una investigación sobre obras previas de temática similar, para estudiar de qué forma han sido resueltas (composición, estilística, etc.) y con qué nivel de éxito, además, se recopilan imágenes de referencia (fotografías, obras de otros artistas) a partir de las cuales se realizarán estudios de personajes y entornos mediante el uso de la tableta gráfica, empleando una paleta de colores y un dibujo que permite una clara diferenciación entre los distintos componentes de las imágenes, creando así una jerarquía que facilite al lector una rápida comprensión de las escenas.

Asimismo se recoge información de libros de anatomía humana y de otros animales, como también de expresión corporal y facial, para entender su funcionamiento y formas básicas y poder crear personajes creíbles. Este cómic va dirigido principalmente a un público adolescente pero puede ser disfrutado por toda la familia.

This project consists of a proposal that establishes the bases of a One-shot comic, that will be realized in the future, whose main theme is the protection and respect of nature; the characters of the story are members of Amerindian tribes (5 in total, each represented by an animal) and the native fauna, the story is set in a semi-fantastic, natural and primitive environment. The protagonists of the plot are 5 individuals who each represent their people, and who must overcome a difficult challenge to become guardians of the forest, thus acquiring the skills and morphological aspects of animals that define their ethnicity.

In order to create this comic, an investigation of previous works of similar topics is carried out, in order to study how they have been solved ( composition, style, etc.) and with what level of success; in addition, reference images are collected (photographs, works of other artists) from which studies of characters and environments will be made through the use of the graphic tablet, in which the color palette and drawing style are chosen to allow a clear differentiation between the different components of the images, thus creating a hierarchy that facilitates to the reader a quick understanding of the scenes.

Likewise, information is collected from human and other animal anatomy books, as well as from body and facial expression, to understand their functioning and basic forms with the purpose to create credible characters. This comic is mainly aimed to a teen audience but can be enjoyed by the whole family.
