ESTUDIO TÉCNICO Y DEL ESTADO DE CONSERVACIÓN DE UNA SANTA FAZ PROCEDENTE DE LA PARROQUIA SANGRE DE CRISTO DE CULLERA (VALENCIA)

Abstract

El presente trabajo de final de grado (TFG), es un estudio de una Santa Faz procedente de la Parroquia ¿Sangre de cristo¿ (Cullera). Se trata de una pintura al óleo sobre lienzo de autor desconocido y podría haber sido realizada entre los ss. XIX-XX. En la obra se presenta la figura de Jesús de Nazaret, portando una corona de espinas sobre un manto a modo de escudo de armas, del que sobresalen lanzas, martillos, una escalera de madera, un farol como principales elementos iconográficos. El trabajo se ha realizado a partir de la recopilación de información procedente de diversas instituciones (como por ejemplo el Ayuntamiento de Cullera), con la ayuda de los miembros de la parroquia (que conocen la historia de la pieza y han podido aportar información relevante) y a partir del estudio técnico de la propia pintura. El TFG se estructura en tres partes. La primera de ellas se realiza un estudio histórico e iconográfico, comparando la presente obra con otras con el mismo tipo de representación pertenecientes al Museo del Prado, a lo largo del período entre los siglos XV-XVIII. En la segunda parte es un estudio técnico de la obra, tanto del soporte como de la estructura pictórica. Por último, la tercera parte se completa con un análisis del estado de conservación, además de una propuesta de restauración.

In this Degree¿s final Project (TFG), is presented a thecnical study and conservation of a Holy Face from the ¿Sangre de Cristo¿ Parish Church (Cullera), This is an oil painting on canvas by unknown author and Could have been made between the XIX-XX centuries. In the work is presented the figure of Jesus of Nazareth, wearing a crown of thorns on a mantle as a coat of arms, from which stand out spears, hammers, a wooden staircase, a lantern as main iconographic elements. The work has been done through the collection of information from various institutions (such as the Cullera City Council), with the help of the members of the parish (who know the history of the piece and have been able to contribute relevant information) and from the technical study of the painting itself. The TFG is structured in three parts. The first one is a historical and iconographic study, comparing the present work with others with the same type of representation belonging to the Prado Museum, throughout the period between the XV-XVIII centuries. In the second part is a technical study of the work, both the support and the pictorial structure. Finally, the third part is completed with an analysis of the state of conservation, in addition to a restoration proposal.
