Item type: Artículo , Access status: Abierto , La soledad en los adolescentes y sus correlaciones con las fortalezas psicológicas y el abuso de las redes sociales(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2021-10-27) García Sanmartín, Pedro[EN] This article is an explanatory research that tries to get a little closer to the correlations of two variables, with respect to loneliness in adolescents: the first, psychological strengths, as a mitigating factor; and the second, the abuse of social networks, as a precipitating factor. The methodology was based on a documentary design, through the search and selection of articles indexed from secondary sources, through different databases. We will analyze these variables and explain why they are factors that are behind many disorders and diseases, as well as new behavioral phenomena, such as the so-called Hikikomori. With the arrival of the global pandemic, caused by the COVID-19 disease, these factors have become even more visible in society, either because of the new behaviors that we have incorporated into our lives to adapt to the rules imposed by the authorities. health, as well as those individual and voluntary that we have modified to cope better. Therefore, we believe that, if the abuse of social networks is reduced and the psychological strengths of the population are increased, the rates of loneliness and its consequences could be reduced. In this way, it would increase resilience in society, and in turn, improve social well-being.Item type: Artículo , Access status: Abierto , Los casos de bebés robados en España: una aproximación actual desde el derecho penal(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2021-10-27) Baltasar Pérez, Lucía[EN] The purpose of this document is to carry out, from a legal penal point of view, an analysis of “the stolen babies” case in Spain, comparing it, due to its similarities, with the subtraction and appropriation of newborns in countries such as Ireland and Argentina. For its purpose, mention of the commitments undertaken in defence of Human Rights by the Spanish government is made, as well as those recommendations for the legal treatment of this phenomenon submitted by various international institutions. As a fundamental part of the study, issues are pointed out such as the criminal types that apply in these cases and the difficulties, both factual and legal, that generally arise in the investigation. However, given the importance of the first sentence for baby theft publication at the end of 2018, the most relevant aspects of the sentence will be described in detail and an overview of some proposals and initiatives that have taken place will be given.Item type: Artículo , Access status: Abierto , La participación de la niñez a la luz de la sociología de las ausencias(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2021-10-27) Bernal Moreno, Helber Mauricio[EN] This document proposes a discussion and reflection on the different elements used by adults to configure the discourses and practices of boys and girls as absent. In this sense, it is not only sought to show that these strategies make the infant's participation invisible, but also deepen hierarchical positions and power relations, where the adult takes the sessions and the minor must limit himself to obedience. In this way, it is intended to question the naturalization of these hierarchies, highlighting that these are more a product of the intentionality of some adults than of the inability of the boy or girl to participate actively and influentially.All of the above is based on the conceptual proposal of "The Sociology of Absences" by Boaventura De Sousa Santos, which highlights some monocultures that are used within western culture as a strategy to emphasize the dominance of certain actors over others (in this case the adult over the boy and the girl).Item type: Artículo , Access status: Abierto , La LOMLOE y sus controversias ante la ausencia de un pacto educativo en España(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2021-10-27) Novella-García, Carlos; Cloquell-Lozano, Alexis[EN] For years, the Spanish educational system has been immersed in an apparent process of social and political agreement within the framework of education, whose educational pact would provide a stable system, which apparently does not finish germinating. In this article we intend to reflect on the educational pact in Spain and the LOMLOE. To do this, we have analyzed the social and political debate that the law itself has raised throughout its process, from its proposal in the Council of Ministers to its approval in the Congress of Deputies. Using a qualitative analytical methodology, from critical hermeneutics, we have analyzed the diaries of Congress sessions and the 1,168 amendments presented. Likewise, we collect the assessments that social agents have made on the processing and approval of this new educational law.Item type: Artículo , Access status: Abierto , The social determinants of health and the nutritional status of students from a city in the Brazilian Amazon(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2021-10-27) Filgueiras, Ligia Amaral; Sousa, Randerson José de Araujo; Costa, Ana Gabriela de Sousa; Santos, João Paulo Nascimento dos; Guerreiro, Jaíres da Silva; Santa Rosa, Flávio Vinícius de Jesus; Amaral, Juliane de Souza; Souza, Luciane Melo de; Rodrigues, Brena de Nazaré Barros; Oliveira, Juliana Santiago de; Souza, Poliana Soares de; Oliveira, Roseane Bittencourt Tavares de; Filgueiras, Felipe Amaral; Teixeira, Lucas Mileo; Rodrigues, Levy Costa; Soares, Ingrid Cristina Melo[EN] An individual's nutritional condition influences his/her development, but the prevalence of unhealthy eating habits alters nutritional balance and triggers several health complications, which are also influenced by social determinants of health. For this reason, this study aimed to analyze the social determinants of health and the nutritional status of students from a public elementary and high school in a neighborhood on the outskirts of Belém, Pará State, Brazil. Along with the collection of anthropometric measures, an epidemiological and food census was used, following widely accepted protocols tested in the Amazon region, as well as an individual clinical evaluation. Z score and descriptive statistics were performed. 55 students were measured, 30 female and 25 male, with an average age of 13 years old, average BMI of 19.66 for the female group and 19.38 for the male, with 4% of the boys having “severe delay ”, while 3.7% of girls reported a“ delay ”in their growth. 13.3% of girls and 25% of boys drink alcohol. The students showed general physical status without major complications, there were no obese individuals, but there is a potential risk for the condition. However, because it is a peripheral area, the social determinants of health may strongly allow the processing of other nutritional diseases, such as malnutrition and especially stress, since we identified a student who self mutilates, and many others who experience daily violence and low life perspectives.Item type: Artículo , Access status: Abierto , Percepciones sobre la violencia contra la niñez y la adolescencia en Bolivia. Una visión sistémica(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2021-10-27) Gutiérrez León, Paloma; Losantos, Edith Marcela; Guillén, Natalie; Andrade, Carla[EN] This qualitative research analyzes the phenomenon of the violence against children from both, the perspective of children, their parents and child- protection services. Focus groups with children and parents; and interviews to teachers, health personnel and first line child-protection workers were conducted, with the purpose to develop an integral understanding of violence against children. Results show that family and school play an ambivalent role showing both, protection and aggression answers which makes difficult to identify violence patterns Violence against children and youth, children`s rights, protection services, Bolivia. Morerover, families fear they will loose authority with their children; despite of legally recognize children and youth as subject of law, the perspective of seeing them as objects of law still prevails. Violence is recognized as a multi-dimensional phenomenon but institutional response is one-dimension; pushing for presenting formal denounces despite the lack of effectiveness of this in the reduction of violence.
