Thus, the inclusion of the HBIM methodology is proposed with the fundamental objectives of streamlining and automating the manipulation of information, facilitating the analysis of complex buildings. This article shows the contributions of the HBIM methodology to the elaboration of the hypothesis of constructive historical phases of the Church of San Lorenzo in Valencia. The working method applied was the proposal of an action model applied to the building, which has its origin in the medieval period and has undergone various transformations throughout its history.Item type: Artículo , Access status: Abierto , HBIM y reuso: el caso estudio sobre la antigua fábrica de mayólicas “La Ceramo” de Valencia(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2021-12-28) Panarello, Antongiulio; Cortés Meseguer, Luis; Malighetti, Laura Elisabetta; Departamento de Construcciones Arquitectónicas; Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería de Edificación; Centro de Investigación de Tecnología de la Edificación[EN] Main objective of the article is to analyse the HBIM method as a necessary tool in the drafting of an intervention proposal for the protection and reuse of buildings of high historical and architectural value (Bastem & Cekmis 2021). Through a case study carried out on the old La Ceramo majolica factory in Valencia, the potential of HBIM has been analysed in terms of gathering and protecting information and public participation in the design process. As a result, it has been possible to verify how the HBIM can improve the quality of interventions in buildings owned by the Public Administration in line with the challenges of sustainable development of the UN Agenda 2030, by being able to anticipate behaviours and prevent possible risks.Item type: Artículo , Access status: Abierto , Estrategias para un modelo digital dirigido al conocimiento y gestión del Conjunto Arqueológico de Itálica Cuaderno de bitácora(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2021-12-28) Pinto Puerto, Francisco; Guerrero Vega, José María; Angulo Fornos, Roque; Castellano Román, Manuel; European Regional Development Fund; Junta de Andalucía; Universidad de Sevilla[EN] This paper adopts the form of a log book of experiences, observations, interpretations, ideas and resources obtained as a result of using digital information models to address the needs of the institutions and managers of the Archaeological Site of Itálica (CAI, after the Spanish initials) between 2006 and 2021. The problems related to the knowledge and management of the site vary enormously both in scale and complexity. We discuss them here in chronological order to provide a vision of how digital geometric registration and information models have played an increasingly important role at this type of heritage site. The significance of the case study resides both in the importance of the remains, recognised since the 18th century, and in the difficulty of applying systematic processes to manage the site today. [EN] Le Corbusier, in the 1920s, proposed a grammar for the new language of reinforced concrete and steel architecture, modern architecture. His mythical houses built during that decade in collaboration with Pierre Jeanneret would constitute an extraordinarily influential cast in the theatre of modern architecture and in later years would serve as models to illustrate a theory that would see the light of day in the form of a text in 1926 as a foundational manifesto, “The Five Points of Architecture”. His fenêtre en longueur –a horizontal strip window– highlighted the non-bearing condition of the façade while appropriating the horizon and a continuous view from the interior. Neoplasticist architecture, however, directly influenced by Wright’s “organic destruction of the box”, proposed opening voids from floor to ceiling. Both rejected the idea of perforating the façade by simply cutting holes in it. Mies van der Rohe, the most rigorous in architectural detail and construction of modern architects, would propose the incipient idea of the curtain wall in his project for the Friedrichstrasse skyscraper in 1919, which he would materialise years later. In the following article, we will critically discuss the grammar of modernity and in particular with regard to the syntax of the wall openings.Item type: Artículo , Access status: Abierto , La recuperación del Frente de la Puerta De Tierra de Cádiz en el Siglo XX de la mano del arquitecto Antonio Sánchez Esteve(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2021-12-28) Lozano-Martínez, Ramón; Arévalo-Rodríguez, Federico; Granado-Castro, Gabriel[EN] After a little more than two centuries of evolution throughout the Modern Age, in the second half of the 18th century the city of Cádiz was a paradigm among the strong cities of the Spanish Empire, being the headquarters of the Casa de Contratación since 1717. Among the elements that made up its defensive belt, the so-called Front of the Puerta de Tierra de Cádiz stands out, which defended the city by its only land access. At the end of the 19th century, the bad economic and social situation generated the urgent need to open the city to the outside, which led to the demolition of a large part of the defensive elements at the beginning of the following century. Both for its size and for its representativeness, the Puerta de Tierra was the object of special attention not without controversy. The loss of its heritage identity on behalf of the improvement in communications with outside the walls was avoided by the intervention of the architect Antonio Sánchez Esteve. [EN] BIM technology is gaining ground in different disciplines outside new construction. This is the case of architectural surveys of heritage buildings, a methodology known as HBIM (Historic Building Information Modeling). With this tool, which facilitates the architectural survey, an information model of the property is obtained with less error and greater accuracy than with conventional technologies. With the high degree of information that this methodology allows, the different historical phases of the church of La Sang of Llíria, of which there are no three-dimensional graphic representations to date, are modelled. A point cloud obtained with a laser scanner is used as a base. The intention is to involve the use of BIM tools in the dating and representation of historical phases of the property, to expose its advantages in obtaining simulations of the phases, to date them within a specific period and to relate the information.
