La cartografía histórica como método de estudio morfológico del paisaje tradicional de Campanar

[EN] We defend the idea of durability in time of population centres, elements and structures of the huerta, the fertile agricultural area around the city of Valencia, through rooted concepts, such as tradition and, especially, the unceasing daily routine of human beings. Starting from this perception, we consider the existence of permanent traces on the territory that allow us to establish hypotheses about the settlement and organization of the territory, from its origins. From this paradigm, we hope to establish, relying on the morphological study as a working tool, a plausible argument on the primitive traces of the organization of the urban landscape of Campanar. The analysis and discussion of the data obtained from the comparison of the different documentary sources, written, cartographic and verbal, offers insight in the evolution of this urban settlement. Specifically, in this article we discuss the results revealed from the cartographic analysis

La representación gráfica del territorio granadino en los mapas topográficos del siglo XIX

[EN] The territory covered by the city of Granada has stimulated the admiration of all those that have known it along its history, as is shown by the various accounts and panoramic views. The city was strategically established in the meeting point between the last spurs of the Sierra Nevada and the wide alluvial plain that forms the Vega of Granada, being both inseparable parts of the landscape that characterizes the city. The first geometric maps of this complex territory were developed with the cartographic advances of the nineteenth century, developing as strategic documents for its control or to quantify its productive wealth. These first maps of the territory of Granada, some of them pioneering, are analyzed in this work, as well as the graphical representation criteria that they contain

[EN] Andrés de Vandelvira personalizes the researcher who, from the deep knowledge and mastery of the craft, knew how to rehearse revolutionary architectural solutions that demonstrate the importance of the architects of southern Spain in the History of Architecture of the Renaissance.The detailed knowledge of the drawings of the method of slices allows us to reflect on the formal design systems tested by Vandelvira. However, some of the features of the solutions of this architect are the subject of intelligent manipulation of this basic logic.The need to solve constructive, structural, formal and compositional issues in the same moment, led to the dimensioning of methods and application that currently are worthy of admiration.
