Prácticas artísticas colaborativas como herramienta de dinamización social y cultural en colectivos de personas mayores
(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2014-12-29) Taberner Palop, Elvira
[EN] This paper proposes a collaborative art practice, in which we study and experience the enormous power of the arts as a tool for social and cultural dynamism in non-formal education centers, concretely with seniors groups.Several problems are addressed from a theoretical and practical point of view:- The ignorance, alienation, misunderstanding and lack of appreciation of contemporary art practices by the majority of the population, contrast with the wide appreciation that in general deserve the arts in its most traditional aspect.- This leads us to reflect on the limited importance attached, in practice, to cultural and artistic competence in formal educational curricula.- In non-formal education, the situation is not better. Although demand and appreciation of artistic training activities is large, and freedom in curriculum development is greater, reduced resources for arts education in municipal centers makes it difficult to work. The importance of the educational role of these centers is crucial because its proximity allows the access to the training and to the culture to people who have been left out due to several life circumstances.

[EN] In this paper, the similarities and differences identified about the way some artists and performance researchers conceive the concepts of body, space and time are set. The information discussed in the text is the result of the analysis of 13 interviews conducted between 2009 and 2013, focused on the topic. This analysis revealed a heterogeneity of positions in which, precisely, lies the richness of an expanding field: art action. The article retrieves relevant aspects of the author M.A. final thesis work Body, space and time in art action; an approach to the ideas and work of some theorists and artists in this medium of expression, whose defense took place in 2013 at the Faculty of Arts and Design at the National Autonomous University of Mexico.

[EN] As opposed to the numerous existing studies dedicated to the development of spontaneous child drawing, this research work offers an updated perspective which deepens the knowledge of places which can be the source of the new expressive and communicative resources used by children from 7 years of age in their creations. The aim is to highlight the way in which Visual Culture can play a relevant role in child drawing processes, generating new communicative and expressive resources for the portrait. Visual Arts Based Educational Research was chosen as the methodology for our work, and the results actually feature contrasts between literal visual citations coming from television Visual Culture and portrait drawings of female teachers by children. Our conclusion stresses the importance of a reflection stage following the consumption of Visual Culture products through which it can be ensured that the outcomes derived from child learning during the implementation stage will be not only original and subjective but also rich in details and expressive.

[EN] Interdisciplinarity in art is presented as a form of relationship between fields of knowledge, able to admit the idea of Atlas and the continued migration of concepts and their interaction, to investigate and represent the world, between and beyond their limits. From the contemporary intellectual and paradigmatic change, that requires the abandonment of old principles based on the orthodox scientific bias and verification methods for the acquisition of knowledge, I locate the artistic practices and their spatialization as forms of acquisition / generation of knowledge, in/from that interdisciplinarity. Transit agent between territories and possessions, Without specific location, which serves as a trasversal activator of knowledge. Therefore, this paper display a heterogeneous and multifaceted perspective that takes art as a complex interlocking network that offers new action strategies on the exploration of our contemporary responsive universe, aware of its uncertainties and multiplicities.
