Nuestro análisis parte de 945 estudios. Tras una exhaustiva revisión resultan 31 trabajos. La difusión es un proceso dinámico de toma de decisiones que en la literatura se vincula estrictamente a la teoría de la utilidad esperada. El modelo logístico es aplicable a la agroindustria, marketing, la industria de telecomunicaciones, la difusión de cultivos agrícolas, etc. Los procesos de difusión presentan un nexo de unión con la dinámica de poblaciones, introducida por Verhulst a mediados del siglo XIX.Item type: Artículo , Access status: Abierto , Regional and economic modeling of land use, production, and agricultural commodities in Uruguay: Medium and long-term simulations(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2025-12-19) Bertamini López, Felipe[EN] The study models Uruguay s agricultural sector at a regional scale through a partial equilibrium model of land use. Once built, a baseline is established with a 10-year time horizon to produce projections of land use and production. It can also be used in a counterfactual manner for the analysis and evaluation of potential policy interventions or market changes. In Uruguay, there are few modeling studies of the sector, and there are no regional projections that capture the heterogeneity of agricultural production.Item type: Artículo , Access status: Abierto , Are consumers' attitudes regarding sustainability reflected on food choices? Evidence from a Discrete Choice Experiment in 10 European countries(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2025-12-19) Solano-Hermosilla, Gloria; Barreiro-Hurle, Jesus[ES] Evaluamos si los consumidores reflejan sus actitudes hacia la sostenibilidad en sus decisiones de compra. Para ello realizamos una encuesta en línea a 20.000 consumidores en 10 países europeos sobre motivos de compra, elementos del envase que comunican diferencias en sostenibilidad y decisiones de compra. Demostramos que los motivos de compra se trasladan a las decisiones de compra, aunque de manera divergente para los componentes de salud y medio ambiente de la sostenibilidad. This research describes the operational management capacity of micro distilleries (Sonoran bacanora, Mexican mezcal and Jalisco raicilla) in regions where the designation of origin is recent. With a sample of 87 production units, differences were identified by group in the human factor profile, training, use of technology, marketing reach, and progress in quality certification. The results of the study expand and support the perception that consumers on the border of Mexico have about a traditional food, confirming the usefulness of word association as an analysis technique. Recognizing these associations can facilitate the creation of more effective commercial strategies to promote the consumption of traditional foods in the region.Item type: Artículo , Access status: Abierto , Approaches to advance in the diagnosis of food losses and waste generated in a territory: application in the Comunitat Valenciana region(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2025-12-19) Fernandez-Zamudio, Maria-Angeles; Barco, Hector; Departamento de Economía y Ciencias Sociales; Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería Agronómica y del Medio Natural[EN] Minimizing food loss and waste along the agri-food chain is a key challenge addressed by European policies and the Sustainable Development Goals. The lack of official records and reliable data hinders the implementation of effective actions. This article proposes a methodology based on CNAE codes to streamline the diagnosis of this issue within a given territory and illustrates its application in the Valencian Region (Spain). The proposed methodology enhances EU guidelines for measuring food loss and waste, facilitates its replicability across other regions, and provides recommendations to support the design of territorial agendas aimed at preventing and reducing such losses.Item type: Artículo , Access status: Abierto , Vulnerability of the agriculture of Burundi to climate change: A review and linkages between climate change, food security, and food production(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2025-12-19) Aboyitungiye, Jean Baptiste; Suryanto[EN] Climate change critically affects food production, availability, and stability, particularly in regions that rely on subsistence agriculture. This study examines the relationship between climate variables and food security indicators in Burundi from 1990 to 2022 using a co-integration model within an Error Correction Model framework. Results reveal that precipitation positively influences food production annually but negatively in the long run. Food consumption, producer prices, and rural populations also exhibited long-run negative effects. The findings highlight the adverse impact of climate change on agricultural yields, emphasizing the need for strategies to enhance productivity, resilience, and sustainability among smallholder farmers.Item type: Artículo , Access status: Abierto , Satisfaction in the consumption of conventional and organic olive oil in Spain and Tunisia, applying structural equations (PLS-SEM)(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2025-12-19) Colom Gorgues, Antonio; Cherif, Nouha; Florensa Guiu, Rosa M.[EN] Extra virgin olive oil can be conventional or organic, and the demand for both depends on consumer satisfaction. This research, carried out in Lleida and Sfax with 405 respondents in each area, applied the ECSI-PLS-SEM model to analyze consumer satisfaction with organic and conventional olive oil. The results show that perceived quality and image have a greater influence on satisfaction in Lleida, while in Sfax the value for money stands out. These findings allow us to identify key factors to improve satisfaction and guide business planning in both markets, adapting strategies according to local preferences.Item type: Artículo , Access status: Abierto , Scaling innovations is a social issue: case study in Mexico(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2025-12-19) Casaya-Rodríguez, Tania; Rendón-Medel, Roberto; Aguilar-Ávila, Jorge; Verhulst, Nele[EN] We seek to recognize, from an up-deep scaling approach (arrangements of actors and institutions, pragmatism, and appropriation), the triggering elements of systemic change as empirical evidence of the relationships between actors through Social Network Analysis. Through case studies with farmers in the central region of Mexico, we found that the management of relational capital is key in the scaling of agricultural innovations; where market and the presence of articulating actors are two elements that energize the network and oriented the innovation. The commercial, agricultural and social public policy environment shape the potential for scaling up.
