[EN] This paper presents the results of the studies conducted using instrumental analysis techniques, to provide a reliable estimate of the chronology of the different sections and features of the Church of El Salvador in Mutxamel. Traditionally, the Tower of the Church of El Salvador in Mutxamel was thought to have been built in the 16th century at the behest of the Duke of Maqueda. Later authors assigned this building to this chronological period, although there are obvious contradictions that require further research to shed light on the origins of the building. This paper addresses the inconsistencies of the chronicles from the 17th century regarding the construction of the Tower of the Church of El Salvador in Mutxamel, before moving on to a structural analysis of the building and a scientific study using carbon-14 or 14C dating, which suggests that building dates back to the mid-15th century.
