This work aims to highlight and analyse the most relevant international and national references in permeable pavement systems design. An exhaustive review of the state of the art of the hydrological and hydraulic, environmental and structural design criteria of permeable pavements, together with operation and maintenance tasks proposed in Spanish guidance was developed. Recent innovations developed in Spain show that an improvement in design can optimise its operation functions. For example, the consideration of the management rainfall volume adapted to climate conditions of the installation site, the addition of reactive materials for pollutant control, the employment of appropriate permeable surfaces or an improved operation and maintenance process. Knowledge generated by research studies, complemented with graphic information adapted to municipal regulations, should promote the development of manuals and design guides, exclusive to permeable pavement systems, adapted to cities particularities.Item type: Artículo , Access status: Abierto , Regresión lineal multivariable versus regresión simbólica a partir de programación genética. From indirect measurements, such as the molecular spectroscopy which provides information on the physicochemical properties of the water, it is possible to determine the pollutant load of wastewater from mathematical correlation models. The research compares multivariate linear regression models and symbolic regression models based on genetic programming to establish a correlation with the pollutant load of the wastewater. The study has focused on the comparison of models for the characterisation of total nitrogen, total phosphorus and nitrogen in the form of nitrate of 90 urban wastewater samples. It is observed that the symbolic regression based on genetic programming provides an improvement in goodness of fit (R2) of between 72.76% and 146.39% with respect to multivariate linear regression.Item type: Artículo , Access status: Abierto , El análisis estructural para evaluar indicadores dentro de la GIRH en la microcuenca Villa Victoria (Estado de México)(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2022-10-28) Luna-Pérez, Dafne; Zepeda-Mondragón, Francisco; Canchola-Pantoja, Yered Gybram[EN] Given the need to solve water problems, and the great challenges in terms of water management, it is necessary to implement a methodology that is developed from a systemic perspective; where IWRM (Integrated Management of Water Resources) assumes a very important role. The objective of this study was to evaluate the indicators in the PEIR scheme (Pressure, State, Impact, Response) determining factors in the IWRM scenario in the Villa Victoria watershed, through the method of structural analysis, using the MICMAC tool (Matriz of Crossed Impacts Matrix Applied to a Classification Through which it was possible to study the relationship of 20 indicators, finding the influential and dependent variables, which were essential to understand the structure and dynamics of the system, where 12 were key. which show that the population is marked by social inequalities that reflect poverty as well as a high marginalization index that exacerbates social inequality in the distribution of services such as coverage of potable water and drainage and in turn population growth also serves as fundamental component that aggravates the insufficiency in the provision of services.Item type: Artículo , Access status: Abierto , Análisis integral del lavado y arrastre de sólidos en suspensión en cuencas urbanas utilizando un simulador de lluvia a escala real(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2022-10-28) Naves, Juan; Puertas, Jerónimo; Suárez, Joaquín; Anta, Jose; Agencia Estatal de Investigación; Ministerio de Economía, Industria y Competitividad; Ministerio de Educación, Cultura y Deporte; Xunta de Galicia[EN] Due the lack of accurate experimental data to develop and validate surface urban wash-off and sediment transport models, this study presents an extensive experimental campaign in which the variables involved in wash-off and sediment transport processes are precisely measured in a 1:1 scale urban drainage physical model of 36 m2. In these experiments, different sediment granulometries and rain intensities were tested measuring surface and in-pipe water depths; surface velocities using imaging techniques; flow discharges, total suspended solids concentrations and particle size distributions at the entrance of the gully pots and at the pipe system outlet; and performing mass balances with the sediment that remains deposited at the end of the experiments in the different parts of the model.
