[EN] Every life is worthy of admiration, just as we admire works of art, landscapes or architecture.  In education, we often spend time in our lives dealing with past lives that have left their mark on history. But we rarely pay attention to those around us in order to learn and create knowledge. In this idea, we reflect on the walk as an artistic and aesthetic educational experience based on a series of images captured by a family member on his nature walks.  Regino gets up every morning and sets off on routes he has never experienced before, venturing into the unknown. And with his camera he captures that which causes him admiration, amazement and beauty.  These images help the author of this work to reflect on his own work as an art educator in a Faculty of Education, the pedagogies of walking and the possibility of working from the walk with the singular and biographical of his students, as a method to learn the value of art and the beauty of natural heritage by increasing their offline experiences.

[EN] Book review: Jardín de Fuego. Un libro que habla de un instante de vida This text reviews the poetry book written by Bartolomé Ferrando. To delve deeper into the themes within the book, the writing style, and to discuss poetry in a broader sense, it was decided to give the floor directly to the author. As a result, this review unfolds through an unfiltered interview.

[EN] The importance of the Fårö archipelago (Sweden) in Ingmar Bergman's cinema, as a depressing and paradoxically calm space of knowledge. Arnold Böcklin's island paintings, and according to Georg Simmel's aesthetics, express an intense isolation, loneliness and timelessness that are just as similar to the island forms of Bergman's more confessional films; such as: Såsom i en spegel (As in a mirror, 1961) and Vargtimmen (The hour of the wolf, 1967). Thus, these feature films will be studied, like others, that are imbued with these tragic motives and premises that affect the fate of the subject. In turn, analogous to the expressionist literature of August Strindberg.

[EN] This research work exposes the social and technological context in which we live. Visual hyperstimulation and multitasking have an impact on our cognitive abilities. This could explain the lack of sustained attention. These changes can be seen in the evolution of old technologies such as the printing press; and we wonder if it could also affect other cultural productions such as cinema, where a significant visual-digital predominance and a reduced temporality can be observed.

[EN] Gender, and therefore the culture in which we live, limit the development of our personal identity by subjecting us to dual gender patterns that promote polarisation between men and women. It is the grades of masculinity and femininity that our culture establishes, which classify behaviours or tangible aspects by gender. Androgyny is the quality of an individual to bring together characteristics of both genders, so it ends up being understood as the fusion of the sexes. The perpetuation of archetypes of dual character, and also the denunciation or criticism of these, has involved, on numerous and different occasions, art as a channel for showing men and women. This is exemplified by the analysis of different works and artistic references that reflect on these identity elements in order to question the entrenched gender dualism.

Diseño y dibujo: Un modelo científico
(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2024-12-31) Soares de Castro, Geraldo Eanes
[EN] The article presented addresses concepts related to design and drawing. It explores the distinctions and historical origins based on Renaissance humanist traditions and the Anglo-Saxon industrial   revolution, outlining   the   transition   from the natural to the artificial, the complexities of human development in relation to the natural environment and artificiality, and in this sense, points to the introduction of design as an organiser of production. He tries to express the possibility of a scientific model between design and drawing, even though the connotations between them are absolutely different.

[EN] We start from a question with reference to Chrétien de Troyes novel, The Tale of the Grail: whether it can be considered that the first literary mention of the grail is found in this novel, dated c. 1181- 1182. Our study is based on a structural methodology: a signifier corresponds to a meaning. But understanding that the signifier should not be restricted to the word in double-articulated language, but also to the image in an artistic creation. This being so, we believe that the medieval Blessed Miniates (10th-13th centuries), editions of the Commentary on the Apocalypse of John by Saint Beatus of Liébana (8th century), are structured with meanings whose signifiers are, beyond words, the images of your thumbnails.  In them appears, among other elements, the grail, which therefore should be considered as having a literary existence prior to Chrétien s Grail, even as source of his work the Tale of the Grail.

[EN] In this study, both the artistic career and interdisciplinary research of the prominent valencian sculptress Ángeles Marco (1947-2008) and the theoretical, contextual and methodological foundations of her plural works are compiled, in order to facilitate their respective connection and interdependence. To this end, the constructive keys of the various sculptural series are explained and analyzed, which bring together their extensive creative itinerary --from sculpture to installation and performance- in the decades of their maximum production and deserved national relevance.

[EN] For the ancient Mesoamerican people, the concept of image went beyond its representation.  This was considered a receptacle that contained    the    forces/energies/deities    surrounding    us. These impersonators could be objects, paintings, or people wearing the symbolic attire of the respective energy.  The material with which it was made was very important, and the making process gave them that strength.  The tlacuilo were some of the producers of ixiptla, through paintings in the so-called amoxtli.  These manuscripts   were   read   through   verbalization   or   performance.  In those, the word s orality was a priority. In this text, I also show two proposals for an audio-visual montage to update the amoxtli in contemporary times. These are based on the study and attempted incarnation of Xochiquetzal, Zotz, and Tlahuelpuchi, energies linked to menstruation.  Thus, this proposal attempts to create a multidisciplinary network woven from an epistemic intersectionality.

[EN] This research article aims to delve into the perception of the photobook from an intimate perspective in which the text is integrated as a fundamental complement to the image, thus configuring a new type of narrative. Based on the historical analysis of the photobook and the family album, the emergence of a personal photobook that blurs the boundaries between the public and the private is proposed.  In turn, the inclusion of text as an accompaniment to the image, increasingly frequent in recent decades, it allows the photobook to be reconfigured as a complete piece of art, with the potential to extend beyond galleries and limited collecting, thus reaching all types of viewers.  In this context, this study explores the latest trends that outline the birth of a new photobook that accumulates these fundamental characteristics and that moves in a still dubious limbo between the photobook and the book.  Despite this, it is certainly heading towards a new method that invites artists to turn the everyday and the personal into a mechanism to get closer to the reader.

La investigación sobre el hecho artístico. El objetivo editorial de la revista Sonda
(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2024-12-31) Martínez Barragán, Carlos
[EN] The Sonda Journal is therefore open to any research work on the artistic act, in its complexity and transversality. Because we are convinced that by attending to the greatest number of processes and instances of this fact, we have a greater possibility of learning and generating knowledge that enriches any of the processes and sub-processes involved in it.We try to be consistent with the objectives set and to respond in the best way possible to our concerns as a university publishing house, being rigorous with the evaluation by blind peers of the articles received, requesting that they comply with the formalities of research articles, that they contain good contextualisation and references and present a coherent structure in accordance with their proposal. All of this is aimed at obtaining the recognition of the evaluating bodies of scientific journals (the prescriptive evaluative sub-process in the words of De la Calle, (1984), recognition that results in employment benefits for our collaborators.
