[EN] The relatively new technology such as Photo Mixer Device (PMD) and the well-known time-of-flight (TOF) principle has been employed by PMDTechnologies GmbH to develop one of its last products, PMD[Vision]¿ CamCube 3.0. CamCube combines the 3D information obtained through PMD-TOF and the 2D information captured by its integrated camera. Some interesting features of such product are the frame rate, which permits to work up to in real-time applications, the inclusion of a suppressor of background illumination and blur resistance. Although, the low lateral resolution results an inconvenient for applications where more detailed information could be necessary. This paper has been focused on the use of CamCube to a complete reconstruction of an object in 3D, for which pre-processing over acquired data and concepts such as Alpha Shapes will be introduced. Additionally an enough detailed study of what is and how work CamCube will be developed.
