Estudio y analisis sobre los principales problemas logisticos del puerto de Puerto Cortés (Honduras) y el impacto que estos tienen en sus operaciones

Abstract

[ES] La logística portuaria se basa en un conjunto de procesos y actividades que a su misma vez se involucra en cada etapa de la Cadena de Suministro ya que planifica y controla el movimiento, recepción y almacenamiento directo e inverso, eficiente y efectivo de todas las mercancías que llegan al puerto. El propósito de este trabajo es estudiar, documentar y analizar los principales problemas logísticos que actualmente presenta el Puerto de Puerto Cortes, luego de un exhaustivo análisis y bajo un enfoque mixto y sistemático de reunir información de diversas fuentes, recopilando datos sobre los procesos logísticos, Infraestructura y datos estadísticos proporcionados por la ENP, OPC y otra fuentes relevantes mediante un método de observación No Participativa en el que se documentan las operaciones del Puerto sin intervenir, se pudo identificar esos problemas, evaluar el impacto que tiene en sus operaciones y proponer alternativas de mejoras, también tomando en cuento lo anterior, se propone adicionar a esta información con datos el aumento de los costos operativos, las repercusiones en la economía nacional y la baja competitividad internacional que estos problemas conllevan, con el propósito de obtener la mayor cantidad de información relevante que ayude a dar soluciones efectivas no solo en beneficio del puerto ni de las empresas que dependan de él, si no que también contribuyan al desarrollo económico sostenible de Honduras.

[EN] Port logistics is based on a set of processes and activities that at the same time is involved in each stage of the Supply Chain since it plans and controls the movement, reception and direct and reverse storage, efficient and effective of all the goods that arrive at the port.

The purpose of this work is to study, document and analyze the main logistical problems that the Port of Puerto Cortes currently presents, after an exhaustive analysis and under a mixed and systematic approach of gathering information from various sources, collecting data on the logistics processes, Infrastructure and statistical data provided by the ENP, OPC and other relevant sources through a method of Non-Participatory observation in which the operations of the Port are documented without intervening, it was possible to identify these problems, evaluate the impact it has on its operations and propose alternatives for improvements, also taking into account the Previous, it is proposed to add to this information with data the increase in operating costs, the repercussions on the national economy and the low international competitiveness that these problems entail, with the purpose of obtaining the greatest amount of relevant information that helps to provide effective solutions not only for the benefit of the port or the companies that depend on it, but also contribute to the sustainable economic development of Honduras.
