El plano geométrico general de Alicante de 1849: estudio y reconstrucción digital

Abstract

[EN] Pursuant to the Royal Order of July 25, 1946, issued by the Ministry of Government, the Council Architect of Alicante Emilio Jover Pierron made the General Plan of the city of Alicante. His work, which started immediately in 1846, led to a document which contained the alignment of the buildings existing at the time, and also the future plans, consisting in the modification of some previous buildings and the creation of new ones. This plan was the first graphical instrument of this nature affecting the whole of the city; nevertheless, such an interesting item has been now missing since 1990.This paper summarizes the study of the only remains of the document and the work leading to its recovery through digital reconstruction

[ES] En cumplimiento de la Real Ordende 25 julio de 1846 promulgada por el Ministerio de Gobernación, el arquitecto municipal de Alicante Emilio Jover Pierron elabora el Plano general de la ciudad de Alicante. Sus trabajos, inmediatamente iniciados en1846, desembocan en un documento que contiene la alineación de las edificaciones existentes a la sazón, así como las previsiones futuras, mediante la rectificación de algunas antiguas y la creación de otras nuevas, constituyendo el primer instrumento gráfico de esta naturaleza que afecta a la totalidad de la Población. Una pieza de tanto interés como ésta se encuentra sin embargo, actualmente desaparecida, desde 1990.Este artículo resume el estudio del único vestigio del documento y los trabajos conducentes a su recuperación por restauración digital
