Evaluating the comfort of the school building of the ETSIE faculty based on an acoustic and thermal study: An analysis made with the appropriate software ODEON and PHPP

Abstract

[EN] The objective of the thesis is to make an analysis of the comfort of the school building at the ETSIE faculty at UPV. This evaluation of comfort will be based on two separate studies. First of all an acoustic study of the Aula Magna at the faculty building. This is an auditorium used for conferences and lectures but also for small concerts. To goal is to measure the acoustic quality parameters and evaluate these parameters with the help of the software program ODEON. Another important analysis in the process of determining the working and studying comfort in the school is to do a thermal study. With the help of the Passive House Planning Package (PHPP), the cooling and heating demand is calculated and these results can be compared to the recommended values for a passive house.

[ES] El objetivo de este Trabajo de fin de Máster es hacer un análisis de la confortabilidad del edificio de la ETSIE de la UPV. Esta evaluación del confort se realizará mediante dos estudios diferentes. En primer lugar un estudio acústico del Aula Magna de la Escuela, que es un auditorio empleado para congresos y conferencias, y también para pequeños conciertos. El objetivo es medir los parámetros de calidad acústica y evaluarlos con la ayuda del software ODEON. Otro importante análisis en el proceso de determinar la confortabilidad para el trabajo y el estudio en la Escuela es realizar un estudio térmico. La demanda de refrigeración y calefacción se calculará con la ayuda de PHPP (Passive House Planning Package), y los resultados obtenidos se compararán con los valores recomendados para una casa pasiva.
