Resumen
This work studies the application of nanoparticles for signal enhancement of optical coherent tomography (OCT) images. In Phase I of this research, a state-of-the-art study about the synthesis method of SiO2/Au core/shell nanoparticles was performed for the application of OCT enhancement. The analysis of the main parameters required to achieve the monodispersity of silica nanoparticles as well as their uniform surface coverage by gold was developed in this work. In Phase 2 of this work, we prepared and characterized SiO2/Au nanoparticles. Finally in Phase 3 and 4 we tested and discussed the SiO2/Au nanoparticles for enhancement of OCT signal. This work was performed during my study period Erasmus+ at UPV.
