Abstract

In this paper, we present some learning objects for the study of Kepler’s laws that graphically show the orbits and the movements of various planets. One of them shows the orbit of a planet from the point of view of a fixed planet, showing that the orbit is quite involved. No differentials equations are required, but only elementary vector calculus. The learning objects have been implemented in Matlab. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
