[EN] Nowadays the world is worried about the greenhouse effect and the global warming. Reducing and optimizing the consumption of energy in the industries is a key for decreasing the emissions of CO2. This paper is focused on the consumption and demand of energy in the actual automation industries to adapt it to the necessities without wasting this source. Reducing the power contracted of electricity, adapting the consumption to the demand, switching off devices and services as light and heating unused during the production, optimize production schedule, getting stabilizing grid or avoiding the production during the peak-load demands are some of the key strategies developed. Through these actions is trying to get a more efficient consumption of energy and consequently optimize the process of production.
