Abstract

[EN] The problem of restoration, refurbishment, reutilization or -as is the case of our building- total rebuilding (a problem that for years only affected the architectures of the past), has recently started to affect the architectures of the present; specifically edifices of the modern movement, built before or after the Second World War. And it is easy to see that this is an issue that raises contrary and discordant opinions, since the acceptation of the monumental value of recent buildings is not unanimous or free from doubts.

[ES] El problema de la restauración, repristinación, reutilización o -como es el caso de nuestro edificio- de la entera refacción (problema que durante años incumbía solamente a las arquitecturas del pasado), ha terminado afectando de un tiempo a esta parte a las arquitecturas del presente, a los edificios del movimiento moderno, construidos antes o después de la segunda guerra mundial. Y se trata de una cuestión que, como se puede adivinar fácilmente, levanta opiniones discordantes y opuestas, porque la aceptación del valor monumental de edificios recientes ni resulta unánime, ni ausente de dudas.
