dc.description.abstract[EN] The data and all the invisible connections between our machines and interfaces are real. What is virtual is the idea that these intangible data can happen to the real. Thus, a social network is virtual in its ability to create the actual link. The ubiquitous digital is not a parallel world, this isn’t an additional reality. It is simply a multiplication of potentialities, opportunities that are activated by users. Digital did not invent the idea of an immaterial work but new devices are set up. Each cultural possibility can reinvent itself over Internet, accessible software. The free learning is the key to these cultural practices. The exchange and community spirit are the foundations of the structure. High and low culture form an amazing combination with Cory Arcangel (born May 25, 1 78, in Brooklyn). In a sense of appropriation, sample and mix, surf as a real activity; his works, exhibitions and happenings are each time opportunities of reconfiguration, of reprogramming. Questioning planned obsolescence of our machines and digital tools, it diverts these poor archaeological fragments, these materials destined for oblivion to compose a singular work on the edge of screen and code. He’s an artist of the « infraImince », word dear to Duchamp. Cory Arcangel is a reprogrammer of digital social memories. Based on Nicolas Thély among other contemporary authors we will see that the increased use of new technologies has fueled the amateur practices. We shall also bear a precise look through the prism of Jean Baudrillard on the emergence of information and its disappearance in the stream. And so, through an analysis of the work of Cory Arcangel we will reveal the cultural and aesthetic issues being hatched today, which shape our environment and that prefigure new relationships between the artwork and his exposure.en_EN
