Rehabilitación del Convento del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús en Real de Gandía (Valencia)

Abstract

[ES] El objetivo de este trabajo es el desarrollo de la restauración y rehabilitación del Convento del Rincón del Sagrado Corazón, situado en la partida denominada Rincón del Sagrado Corazón (polígono 1, parcela 402 del catastro de parcelas rústicas) de la población del Real de Gandía, en la provincia de Valencia. El Patronato de la Fundación del Monumento del Reino de Valencia al Sagrado Corazón, entidad que gestiona el edificio, pretende adecuarlo para recibir a la Comunidad de Carmelitas Descalzas de Valladolid. Este edificio de arquitectura tradicional construido en torno a los años 1940 y 1960, presenta un claro estado de deterioro, debido al abandono sufrido desde que dejara de servir de residencia hace catorce años, un hecho que, a día de hoy, lo hace inhabitable. Se ha creído conveniente realizar un estudio previo de lesiones para determinar hasta qué punto la estanqueidad y la habitabilidad están afectadas, condicionando las posibles actuaciones que se deben realizar para adecuar el edificio al uso que se le va a proporcionar. Para realizar la intervención y nuevo acondicionamiento del edificio, se ha realizado un levantamiento grafico del estado actual y un estudio de todas las patologías existentes. El objetivo final del proyecto es la realización de una propuesta de acondicionamiento del edificio, enfocada a su restauración y rehabilitación para que pueda servir de residencia a la nueva congregación que pretende ocupar el convento.

[EN] The aim of this Bachelor’s Thesis is the development of the plan of restoration and rehabilitation of the Convent of El Rincón del Sagrado Corazón, located in the district of el Rincón del Sagrado Corazón (polygon 1, plot 402 of the rustic land registry) of the town of Real de Gandia, province of Valencia. The Board of the Fundación del Monumento del Reino de Valencia al Sagrado Corazón, the organization that manages all matters concerning the building, intends to adapt it for the use of the Congregation of Carmelitas Descalzas of Valladolid. This building of a traditional architecture style, built between 1940 and 1960, presents a clear state of decay due to the abandonment suffered since it ceased to be used as a residence fourteen years ago, a fact that currently makes it uninhabitable. We have seen fit to make a preliminary study of pathologies that will serve to determine to what extent watertightness and habitability have been affected, conditioning the possible actions that should be performed to adapt the building to its new use. To perform the intervention and remodelling of the building, a graphic survey of the current state and a study of all existing conditions have been carried out. The ultimate goal of the project is the realization of a proposal of refurbishment of the building, focused in its restoration and rehabilitation to serve as the residence of the new congregation that seeks to occupy the convent.
