[EN] As a main factor in this thesis, it has been investigated the compaction and fibre misalignment on mechanical properties of Carbon fiber reinforced polymers. A comprehensive study about the fiber misalignment in all the specimens tested has been conducted in order to find the influence in the failure. It has been considered the effect of specimen size on the axial compressive strength of M21/T800 unidirectional laminates (UD). Different gauge sections were given in order to investigate the effect of laminate thickness and also of the size on the compressive behaviour of unidirectional composites. The compaction does not show significant variation in the in-plane fibre misalignment for UD M21 T/800 material. In the compression test, failure occurred in most of the specimens at the end at the load introduction. Although most of the specimens failed prematurely, the test results revealed the tendency that failure strength decreases with increasing thickness of composite laminates. Additionally a step tensile test of a Cross-Ply-Laminate ( ± 45)2s has been done in order to study the influence of the fiber misalignment in the compression strength of UD laminates.
