Marina del Pescador: Nueva Lonja y Renovación del Frente Marítimo de Altea

[ES] Este trabajo final de máster aborda la transformación del litoral marítimo de Altea a través del diseño de una nueva lonja de pescadores y la renovación del paseo marítimo. El proyecto responde a la evolución de Altea, un municipio cuya historia ha estado marcada por el turismo. Si bien la actividad pesquera y agrícola fueron en su día los pilares de su economía, el desarrollo turístico ha transformado el tejido urbano y económico local, impulsando el crecimiento inmobiliario y la oferta de servicios.

En este contexto, la propuesta busca revalorizar la identidad pesquera del municipio, fomentando una integración equilibrada entre tradición y modernidad. La nueva lonja no solo potenciará la economía local y la comercialización del pescado fresco, sino que también ofrecerá un espacio gastronómico que promueva la cultura culinaria mediterránea. Además, la renovación del frente marítimo mejorará la accesibilidad, la calidad del espacio público y la relación entre el puerto y el casco urbano, consolidando un entorno más atractivo y sostenible para residentes y visitantes.

Este proyecto pretende contribuir al desarrollo urbano de Altea respetando su patrimonio y sus valores tradicionales, generando un impacto positivo en la economía local y en la experiencia turística del municipio.

[EN] This master's thesis addresses the transformation of Altea's coastal area through the design of a new fishermen's market and the renovation of the seafront promenade. The project responds to the evolution of Altea, a town whose history has been shaped by tourism. While fishing and agriculture were once the pillars of its economy, tourism development has transformed the local urban and economic fabric, driving real estate growth and service offerings.

In this context, the proposal seeks to revalue the town's fishing identity, promoting a balanced integration of tradition and modernity. The new market will not only enhance the local economy and the sale of fresh fish but will also provide a gastronomic space that promotes Mediterranean culinary culture. Additionally, the renovation of the seafront will improve accessibility, the quality of public spaces, and the relationship between the port and the urban center, creating a more attractive and sustainable environment for both residents and visitors.

This project aims to contribute to the urban development of Altea while respecting its heritage and traditional values, generating a positive impact on the local economy and the town's tourist experience.
