“El final de un viaje: camino a la integración de un inmigrante irregular en España

Abstract

Si enmarcamos a España dentro de las políticas migratorias de principios del siglo XXI, advertimos que se encuentra entre los países con más inmigración del mundo, incluso después del descenso producido por la crisis económica de 2008. El número de extranjeros indocumentados que han entrado en nuestro país en los últimos años se dispara; solo en el primer semestre de 2017 fueron 10.751 los inmigrantes irregulares que cruzaron la frontera, más del doble que en el mismo periodo de 2016. En este contexto, resulta imprescindible el papel de las diferentes ONG que ofrecen ayuda humanitaria a través del apoyo legal y médico, la acogida y la integración para estas personas en constante riesgo de exclusión social. El documental pretende mostrar esta realidad mediante una experiencia individual: la historia de un inmigrante irregular desde el momento de su llegada a Valencia y el trayecto que debe recorrer junto con la organización Moviment per la Pau.

If we frame Spain inside the migratory policies of the beginning of the 21st century, we notice that it is among those countries with more immigration in the world, even after the decrease produced by the economical crisis of 2008. The number of undocumented foreigners who have entered our country in the last years has grown up rapidly; just in the first semester of 2017, 10751 irregular migrants crossed the border, which doubles the number of those in 2016. In this context, the role of the NGOs is indispensable, offering humanitarian help through legal and medical support, housing and integration for these people in constant risk of social exclusion. The aim of this documentary is to show this reality through an individual experience: the story of an irregular migrant since his arrival in Valencia, and the long way ahead hand in hand with the organization​ Moviment per la Pau
