Abstract

[EN] The growing parallelism between the perception and the consumer use of theme parks and architectural heritage gives rise to a reflection about the fact that the architectural object has been turned into a museum piece, stripped of its original value and its initial cultural substance to become images exposed to multiple gazes, thus producing what the author calis the "Theme Park effect", with consequences on protected architecture.

[ES] El creciente paralelismo a constatar entre la percep­ción y el consumo de los parques temáticos y del patrimonio arquitectónico da pie a una reflexión sobre la museificación del objeto arquitectónico, que le despoja de su valor previo, su sustancia cultural inicial para convertirse en imágenes, abiertas a una pluralidad de miradas que produce lo que el autor denomina "efecto Parque Temático", con consecuen­cias para la arquitectura protegida.
