De cómo acabar la iglesia de la Colonia Güell obra de Antoni Gaudí

Abstract

[EN] The conservation of an unfinished work by Gaudí conceals a complex panorama of historic, psychological, structural and functional implications to add to the myth surrounding the oeuvre of the great Catalan master. The article delves into the concept of the church, presents some initial reflections and proposes a project for intervention renouncing entirely to the continuation and re-creation of Gaudí’s plan without eluding the difficult problem of the definitive permanence of the unfinished work.

[ES] La conservación de una obra inacabada de Gaudí esconde un complejo panorama de implicaciones históricas, psicológicas, estructurales y funcionales que se añaden al mito que rodea la obra del maestro catalán. El artículo profundiza en el concepto del templo, presenta unas primeras reflexiones y plantea un proyecto de intervención que renuncia en todo momento a la continuación y la recreación de la obra de Gaudí, sin eludir el difícil problema de la permanencia definitiva de la obra inacabada.
