ESTUDIO DEL ESTADO DE CONSERVACIÓN DE LAS PINTURAS MURALES DE LA IGLESIAPARROQUIAL DE SAN ESTEBAN (LOARRE, HUESCA)

Abstract

[EN] The parish church of San Esteban, located in Loarre (Huesca) was declared Historical Artistic Monument of National Interest in the year 1979. Originally late Gothic was treating itself about a building of the XVI century of style, but one saw altered in the XVIII century being modified in the baroque church that we are at present. Of the Gothic style only there remains the tower and the chapel that lodges at his previous floor and it us leads to the same one. The above mentioned chapel shelters San Demetrio¿s relics and the baptismal font. It is covered by a vault of ribbed starred and preserves wall paintings belonging to the XVI century that refer to San Demetrio¿s life and to Jesus¿ Calvary. The information and files preserved of the wall paintings are very scanty, for this reason, the present work of end of degree it tries to approach the study and the state of conservation in which they are nowadays in order his preservation.

[ES] La iglesia parroquial de San Esteban, situada en Loarre (Huesca) fue declarada Monumento Histórico Artístico de Interés Nacional en el año 1979. Originariamente se trataba de una edificación del siglo XVI de estilo gótico tardío, pero se vio alterada en el siglo XVIII modificándose en la iglesia barroca que nos encontramos en la actualidad. Del estilo gótico sólo se conserva la torre y la capilla que se aloja en su piso anterior y nos da acceso a la misma. Dicha capilla alberga las reliquias de San Demetrio y la pila bautismal. Está cubierta por una bóveda de crucería estrellada y conserva pinturas murales pertenecientes al siglo XVI que hacen referencia a la vida de San Demetrio y al calvario de Jesús. Los datos y archivos conservados de las pinturas murales son muy escasos, por ello, el presente trabajo de final de grado pretende abordar el estudio y el estado de conservación en el que se encuentran actualmente con el fin de su preservación.
