Turia s Line : Vertebrant els barris : construint futur

Abstract

El lloc d actuació proposat es situa al límit del barri del Carme i l antic llit del riu Túria. Aquest projecte naix amb la voluntat de donar resposta als conflictes que es generen als nuclis històrics consolidats. Les conclusions d un anàlisi social i tècnic esdevenen en dos punts clau als que cal donar solució: recuperar el model productiu tradicional front a la terciarització i frenar els processos de turistificació, gentrificació i envelliment de la població. Com a solució es planteja un eix de vianants que articula els barris del Carme i Velluters i que resol la connexió amb el riu. L itinerari te com a prioritat conformar una xarxa de dotacions educatives combinada amb el concepte d acupuntura urbana. Mitjançant xicotetes actuacions puntuals es potència el transport públic, el vianant, la introducció del teixit verd, les zones de descans i l habitatge social.

La proposta arquitectònica es concreta en dos dotacions de caràcter educatiu. Per una banda, una escola infantil vinculada a un projecte de vida familiar centrat en la criança. Per altra banda, es decidix reubicar el centre de joventut per millorar l oferta educativa de l eix. Paral·lelament, es duen a terme altres propostes educatives per completar la intervenció. L ordenació dels projectes s estructura unitàriament, seguint la petjada industrial de l illa amb blocs lineals perpendiculars al riu. S aconseguix d aquesta manera, una façana permeable que vincula el barri amb l infraestructura verda.

The proposed place of action is located at the limit of the Carmen district and the former river bed of the Turia. This project is born with the desire to respond to the conflicts that are generated in the consolidated historical centers. The conclusions of a social and technical analysis become two key points that must be addressed: recovering the traditional productive model against tertiarization and curbing the processes of tourism, gentrification and aging of the population. As a solution, is proposed a pedestrian axis that articulates the districts of Carme and Velluters and which resolves the connection with the river. The itinerary has as a priority to form a network of educational facilities combined with the concept of urban acupuncture. Through small actions, public transport, the pedestrian, the introduction of green fabric, rest areas and social housing are encouraged.

The architectural proposal is specified in two educational services. On the one hand, a kindergarten linked to a family life project focused on parenting. On the other hand, it is decided to relocate the youth center to improve the educational offer of the axis. At the same time, other educational proposals are carried out to complete the intervention. The urban ordenation of the projects is unitary structured, following the industrial footprint of the block with linear buildings perpendicular to the river. This way, a permeable facade that links the district with the green infrastructure is achieved.
