El patrimonio industrial de Puerto de Sagunto. Inventariado y propuesta de musealización

Abstract

Puerto de Sagunto fue una de las ciudades factoría más importantes de España desde principios del siglo XX. Por esta razón, en la actualidad encontramos gran cantidad de vestigios patrimoniales relacionados con la siderurgia establecida en esta localidad valenciana. Gran parte del patrimonio inmueble que se salvó del desmantelamiento de la fábrica, y especialmente el patrimonio mueble, han estado olvidados y en unas condiciones de conservación inadecuadas.

El presente Trabajo Fin de Máster tiene como finalidad fundamental poner en valor el patrimonio industrial de la localidad, prestando especial atención a las sinergias identitarias que se establecen entre los bienes fabriles y el entorno social en el que se integran. Para ello, el proyecto comienza con el inventario de los objetos que componen las secciones que definieron la producción siderúrgica en los altos hornos. Este listado inicial incluye los datos identificativos de cada bien y viene seguido de un marcaje individualizado para su caracterización y localización. De igual modo, el inventario contempla la inclusión de diferentes campos que hacen referencia al estado de conservación de la colección.

Por último, con el fin de difundir, mostrar y sensibilizar a la ciudadanía sobre la importancia del patrimonio industrial de Puerto de Sagunto, se presenta un proyecto de musealización en una de las salas de las antiguas oficinas de la empresa. La rehabilitación y adecuación de este espacio contempla la organización de un itinerario expositivo con un hilo conductor pedagógico y una museográfica atractiva, donde el visitante sea capaz de descubrir la historia de la siderurgia porteña a través de su legado industrial.

Puerto de Sagunto was one of the most important factory towns of Spain since the beginning of the 20th century. Because of this a great number of heritage vestiges related to the siderurgy established in this Valencian town remain. Most of the immovable heritage saved from the dismantling of the factory, and especially movable heritage, has been forgotten and in inadequate conditions of conservation.

The main purpose of this Final Mater's Project is to place a value on the industrial heritage of the town, paying special attention to the identity synergies establised between the Factory property and the social environment in which they are integrated. To do this, the project starts with the inventory of the objects that make up the sections that defined the siderurgy production in the blast-furnace. This initial list includes the identificative data of each item and continues with a individualized marking for his characterization and location. Similarly, the inventory also considers the inclusion of different fields that refer to the state of conservation of the collection.

Finally, a plan of musealization in one of the halls of the former offices of the company is exposed, with the objective of spreading, showing and making the citizens aware of the importance of the industrial heritage of Puerto de Sagunto. The restoration and adaptation of this space considers the organization of an exhibition intinerary with a pedagogical thread and an attractive museography where visitors can discover the history of the siderurgy fram Puerto de Sagunto, through its industrial legacy.
