El nuevo cine argentino de los noventa y su relación con Europa

Abstract

El presente proyecto pretende abordar el tema del nuevo cine argentino a partir de un exhaustivo análisis de los pilares de esta rompedora corriente, sus mayores representantes y las relaciones con el continente europeo. El propósito de este es ver cómo el cambio de milenio se inscribe tanto en las nuevas formas de hacer cine como en sus contenidos. No estamos hablando de cualquier momento, dado que nuestro objeto de estudio se acota en la década de los noventa y principios de siglo. La fuerte crisis política y económica que azotó Argentina durante estos años, son el detonante para esta ola de jóvenes emprendedores. Cineastas que se propusieron redefinir el cine y forjar con él una voz y un estilo muy personal.

This project aims to address the matter of new Argentine cinema from a comprehensive analysis of the pillars of this breakthrough wave, its major representatives and relations with the european continent. The purpose is to see how the change of the millennium is inscribed both in the new ways of making films and in its contents. We are not talking about any time, given that our object of study is limited between the nineties and the century's begining. The strong political and economic crisis that hit Argentina during those years are the trigger for this wave of young entrepreneurs. Filmmakers who set out to redefine cinema and forge a very personal voice and style with it.
