[EN] The present Master Final Project studies the Lassala´s palace building focusing on the
restoration works of its façade undertaken by the company Tarma Restauración y Patrimonio
S.L. under the advice of Camilla Mileto and Fernando Vegas; which the author of this work could
follow between November 2016 and March 2017.
Lassala´s Palace is a building that dates back to the sixteenth century and is part of the Valencian
architectural heritage, constituting a unique example of the construction techniques and decoration of facades of the eighteenth century to be one of the few buildings that retains the facade
of this time. In addition, the facade retains the original texture and pigmentation. It is a Baroque
building built on a Gothic house of which there are still some vestiges and which presents the
only Louis XIV style doorway existing in the city of Valencia. The building has gone through
different generations of the same family since the mid-eighteenth century, a fact that can be considered extraordinary in the city of Valencia.
Throughout ten chapters, the work studies the history of the building, the composition of the
façade and describes the methods and techniques used by the restorers to recover one of the few
painted façades that are still preserved in the city.
Finally, special emphasis is placed on the importance of conserving and restoring historic coatings correctly
