Referencias mitológicas sintoístas en la serialidad animada japonesa

Abstract

La animación japonesa se ha ido extendiendo a lo largo de los años hasta ser un hito en occidente. Estas series animadas comprenden una gran variedad de géneros dirigidos a diferentes tipos de audiencia que aseguran su consumo y ofrecen historias distintas a las que se cuentan en series occidentales basándose en la cultura del país como el sintoísmo. La influencia de esta religión ofrece una gama de posibilidades a la hora de crear y enriquecer la trama. El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar los rasgos influenciados por la mitología sintoísta y el grado de interpretación que tienen a la hora introducirlos en las series seleccionadas: Naruto, Death Note, Inuyasha y Bleach. La investigación cuenta con una parte de visualizado de los casos de estudio y una recopilación de datos sobre la cultura y la religión japonesa, usando como fuentes tanto autores reconocidos sobre el tema como fuentes más casuales como blogs de aficionados, para tener una amplia base donde apoyar el análisis. A lo largo del documento, se exponen los conceptos que han sido empleados en estas series y se compara la reinterpretación de estos, mostrando las distintas formas en la que los autores incluyen su cultura en sus obras. Con este estudio, podemos observar el contenido subyacente que posee el anime que va más allá de la excentricidad que presenta visualmente.

Japanese animation has extended over the years and it has become a huge hit in the western countries. These animated shows include a great variety of genres aimed to different types of audience that ensure their viewing and they offer stories unlike those told on the western animations by basing them in the country¿s culture like shintoism. This religion¿s influence offers a wide range of possibilities when creating and improving the storyline. The objective is to analyze the traits influenced by shintoist mythology and to examine the degree of interpretation the selected shows possess. This series are Naruto, Death Note, Inuyasha and Bleach. The research is formed by the visualization of the cases of study and a recompilation of data about the culture and the religion of Japan. It uses sources of different origins, such as recognised authors of the matter as well as casual blogs of enthusiasts, to develop a broad data base in which we support the analysis. Throughout the document, it is exposed the concepts utilized in these series and it is compared the reinterpretation between them to show the various ways the authors include their culture in their work. With this study, we can observe the subjacent content that the anime possesses that goes beyond the eccentricity of its aesthetics.
