Abstract

[EN] The dream of space produces forms is a study on space as the place that most surprises and excites us in architecture. Space understood as an invention of three-dimensional shapes that particularly show their ability to provide above justified needs, the possibility of revising the way they are used.By abstracting these spaces from their environment and context, we seek through this study to explore the relationship between the section and the volume of the space, and in doing so, recognize the design mechanisms, whether rational or intuitive, that we have used in establishing the spatial layout. We are aware that this thought on the actual project experience must be part of the architect´s work, and that it ultimately represents the search for the givens and constants that are present in the architecture of any time or place.

[ES] El sueño del espacio produce formas es una reflexión sobre el espacio como el lugar que más nos sorprende y emociona en arquitectura. El espacio entendido como un invento de formas tridimensionales que muestran particularmente su capacidad de proporcionar más de lo que es necesario al sugerir la posibilidad de revisar la manera de cómo se usan.

Abstrayendo estos espacios de su entorno y contexto, pretendemos a través de diversos modelos y análisis gráficos, explorar las relaciones entre la sección y el volumen del espacio, para reconocer los mecanismos de proyecto, racionales o intuitivos, utilizados en la organización espacial de su programa, conscientes de que esta reflexión sobre la propia experiencia de proyecto debe ser parte del trabajo del arquitecto y que en definitiva representa la búsqueda de invariantes, estructuras y permanencias presentes en la arquitectura de cualquier tiempo o lugar.
