Análisis de viabilidad para la creación de un hospital de peregrinos en el tramo asturiano del Camino de Santiago

Abstract

[ES] El presente Trabajo Fin de Grado pretende analizar la viabilidad de la rehabilitación de una pequeña edificación, que podría ser catalogada como histórica, con la finalidad de convertirla en un hospital de peregrinos ubicado en Biescas, una localidad del concejo de Valdés y perteneciente a la parroquia de Castañeo, en el Principado de Asturias. Dicha localidad es atravesada por el Camino del Norte a Santiago y en concreto, la antigua ruta jacobea de Salas-Valdés en Asturias. Analizaremos los diferentes caminos, tanto actuales como tradicionales y el impacto turístico que tienen sobre las comarcas por las que transcurren algunos de ellos. Para ello, hacemos un recorrido histórico sobre el Camino de Santiago, su influencia sobre el turismo actual y su vinculación a la red de hospitales de peregrinos, así como el origen de estos. Por último, realizamos una búsqueda de actuales hospitales en la zona, así como todas las posibles subvenciones y ayudas que puedan existir para la realización del proyecto de rehabilitación y puesta en marcha de dicho hospital.

[EN] The current Final Degree Project attempts to analyse the viability of the rehabilitation of a small building, that could be categorized as historical, with the purpose of transforming it into a pilgrim’s hospital located in Biescas, a small country from the Valdés council and belonging to the Castañeo parish, in the princedom of Asturias. The Northern Way to Santiago and the ancient jacobean route of Salas Valdés, from Asturias go across this country. We will analyse the different roads, both actual and traditional and the touristic impact they have over the regions that go through some of them. In order to do so, we will make a historical tour over Santiago’s way, its influence over the tourism nowadays and its bond to the pilgrim’s hospitals net, as well as its origins. Finally, we did a research of modern hospital around the area, as well as all the possible subventions and helps that can exit in order to rehabilitate and set up our hospital.
