| es_ES |
dc.description.abstract | [EN] The media ecologists, researchers in the field of culture mediated by technologies, claim that we are in a cultural change that is essentially mental and social, due to the growing and uninterrupted use of new technologies. Beyond the English words that are globally spoken, the exaggerated use of smartphones, tablets, computers, digital applications, social networks and the internet leads us to change our habits, knowledge and routines imposed slowly as normality, becoming unavoidable and essential in our lives. We know that technological changes bring a significant improvement in our society but also come with collateral effects such as planned obsolescence, technology addiction, irrational consumption and other incompatibilities that are intentionally hidden by the consumer industry. The purpose of this article is to present the conceptual and artistic creation process of MAD Hackeo, a collaborative proposal which was selected in the international workshop ‘Interactivos? 18: Habitar los RRRResiduos at Medialab Prado - Madrid. It consisted of a sculpture built with discarded and donated objects, as well as with open hardware, which was reprogrammed (hacking) in a shopping cart structure to modify its physical and semiotic identity. Inserted in a post-digital context, its visual scheme uses the Jammer aesthetic, an activist art practice that produces an ironic, self-critical interference that aims to disclose invisible subjects, exposing the contradictions of a techno-fundamentalism and risks of our technological society | es_ES |
