Arquitectura y Pedagogía. Caso de estudio: Escuelas Waldorf

[ES] La pedagogía está estrechamente ligada a la arquitectura de la escuela donde el niño pasa la mayor parte del tiempo de su infancia. Existe un sistema educativo que tiene especial cuidado para que la propia arquitectura influya positivamente en el desarrollo del niño. Se trata de la pedagogía Waldorf. Las escuelas Waldorf se caracterizan por que el niño se adueñe del espacio y que este evolucione a la vez que el niño, evitando ser monótono, rígido y aburrido. Esto se logra creando ambientes cálidos y amables que permitan a los niños expresarse libremente. Las características principales que describen a este tipo de pedagogía son: la arquitectura orgánica, la belleza de los materiales de construcción, la importancia de la naturaleza, la utilización de colores vivos, y deben tener una buena iluminación natural.

[EN] The pedagogy is tightly linked to the school's architecture where the child spends most of his childhood time. There is an educational system that takes special care about the influence of the architecture in the correct development of the child. That is the Waldorf pedagogy. The Waldorf schools are characterized by the fact that the child takes over the space and that it evolves with the child without being monotonous, rigid and boring. This is achieved by creating warm and friendly environments that allow children to express themselves freely. The main characteristics that describe this type of pedagogy are: organic architecture, the beauty of building materials, the importance of nature, the use of bright colors, and must have a good natural lighting.
