Abstract

[ES] El proyecto se emplaza en una parcela situada entre los barrios de Torrefiel y Orriols, nexo de unión entre los mismos. Estos dos barrios, situados en la periferia, se caracterizan por disponer de pocos recursos, y gran cantidad de población inmigrante o envejecida, en muchas ocasiones aislada y con poca capacidad para integrarse.

Por estas razones se plantea un proyecto de escuela de artes plásticas, un equipamiento relacionado con el ámbito cultural y educativo, con una gran capacidad de conexión, para comprender el arte no es necesario hablar el mismo idioma o tener las mismas creencias, es algo que traspasa fronteras y te permite conocer a las personas de manera diferente. Con todo esto se pretende ahondar en las relaciones intergeneracionales y multiculturales, con evidentes beneficios para todos.

La ubicación también tiene aspectos positivos que debemos potenciar, como la proximidad con la huerta, parte fundamental de la cultura valenciana, o de edificios tan característicos e importantes como san Miguel de los reyes.

En cuanto al edificio, se plantean una serie de volúmenes, esencialmente de baja altura. Se busca una progresión decreciente entre los edificios existentes y la huerta. El proyecto busca generar ¿espacios vacíos¿ y ¿calles públicas¿, que se conectan desde el exterior del edificio, hasta el interior, creando áreas libres y abiertos en esta nueva relación con la ciudad, con el objetivo de concebir lugares para el descubrimiento y el aprendizaje.

El edificio se convierte así en el eje de conexión de la zona. En su interior se crean una serie de ¿plazas¿ que sirven como núcleos de la escuela de arte, ademas de articular los diferentes volúmenes que se vuelcan a las mismas, y conseguir así generar sinergias positivas entre las distintas disciplinas.

[EN] The project is located on a plot between the neighborhoods of Torrefiel and Orriols, it works as a link between them. These two neighborhoods, which are located in the periphery, are characterized for having few resources, and large numbers of immigrant or aging population, often isolated and with little capacity to integrate.

For these reasons, a school of plastic arts is proposed, an equipment related to the cultural and educational field, with a great capacity for connection, to understand art it is not necessary to speak the same language or to have the same beliefs, it is something that It crosses borders and lets you know people differently. With all this we intend to delve into intergenerational and multicultural relations, with obvious benefits for the neighbors.

The location also has positive aspects that we must enhance, such as the proximity to the Valencian huerta, a fundamental part of the Valencian culture, or buildings as characteristic and important as San Miguel de los Reyes.

As for the building, a series of volumes is proposed, essentially of low height. A decreasing progression is sought between the existing buildings and the huerta. The project seeks to generate ¿empty spaces¿ and ¿public streets¿, which are connected from the outside of the building, to the interior, creating free and open areas in this new relationship with the city, with the aim of conceiving places for discovery and learning.

The building thus becomes the connection axis of the area. Inside, a series of ¿squares¿ are created that serve as nuclei of the art school, in addition to articulating the different volumes that are turned over to them, and thus generate positive synergies between the different disciplines.
