CENTRO SOCIAL DE RESIDENCIA TEMPORAL EN EL NUEVO CORAZÓN VERDE DE LA CIUDAD DE VALÈNCIA

Abstract

[ES] Las nuevas condiciones asociadas a la decisión de trasladar el estadio de fútbol de Mestalla a una nueva ubicación determinan el agotamiento funcional de este espacio. Este hecho crea una oportunidad única para reconfigurar esta gran superficie. Se ha realizado un análisis integral de las zonas implicadas, que van desde las inmediaciones del río hasta más allá de Blasco Ibáñez para conocer las necesidades sociales y urbanísticas de la zona, así como sus posibilidades. En base a los resultados del análisis efectuado, se realiza una intervención que no se limita a la huella del estadio, sino que se extiende por la avenida de Aragón, se propone la sustitución del antiguo corazón deportivo por un nuevo corazón verde, y se resuelve la conexión de las dos partes del distrito (situadas al este y al oeste) antes inconexas por la barrera arquitectónica que suponía la presencia del estadio. El programa de esta nueva ordenación incluye edificios de gran altura recayentes a la avenida de Aragón, equipamientos, y un gran parque verde. Se desarrolla uno de estos equipamientos, un edificio destinado a centro social para residencia temporal de familias desplazadas por pacientes hospitalizados.

[EN] The new conditions related to the decision of moving the Mestalla football stadium to a new location state the functional depletion of this space. This fact creates a unique opportunity to reshape this large area. An integral analysis of the involved areas has been done, which go from the vicinity of the river to beyond Blasco Ibañez avenue, to identify the social and urban needs of the area and as well as its possibilities. Taking as a starting point the results of the analysis that has been carried out, an intervention is made considering not only the stadium print but also Aragón avenue. The replacement of the old sport heart by a new green heart is proposed, connecting this way the two parts of the district, which were unconnected because of the architectural barrier that was the stadium. The urban program of this new distribution includes high-rise buildings which fall on Aragon avenue, urban facilities and a large green park. One of this facilities has been developed, a building is set aside for a social center as a temporary residence of displaced families for hospitalized patients.
