La conexión de Valencia con el mar. Plan parcial del Grao como articulación entre el Grao y el barrio de Nazaret. Paisaje de continuidad y complejidad

Abstract

[ES] El presente trabajo fin de grado tiene como objetivo el análisis del crecimiento de la ciudad de Valencia hacia el mar, que durante años ha sido un tema muy cuestionado teniendo en cuenta que el origen de la ciudad se situaba en uno de los meandros del río Túria y por tanto, no surgió siendo una ciudad marítima sino fluvial. En pleno Siglo XXI la ciudad de Valencia empieza a adquirir importancia el crecimiento del sector Este de la ciudad, desarrollándose hacia el litoral junto con el Jardín del Río Túria que se ha convertido en un parque lineal que está ligado a la ciudad de Valencia. Con este análisis se obtendrán resultados sobre cómo es ese crecimiento y qué es lo que supondrá para la ciudad de Valencia, distinguiendo entre elementos estructurantes y los planes parciales. Otro de los objetivos es el de estudiar la importancia de la creación de una nueva centralidad urbana en la ciudad de Valencia situada hacia el mar frente a la centralidad histórica de la Ciutat Vella. También cuáles son los criterios de sostenibilidad que se están implantando en las nuevas ciudades del futuro y que se verán favorecidos en las nuevas transformaciones de este tejido urbano. El Plan Parcial del Grao es el proyecto clave que junto con el río culmina la conexión con el puerto y la finalización de los últimos tramos del Jardín del Túria, dotando al barrio del Grao de un paisaje morfológicamente diferenciado. Para la realización de este proceso, necesariamente debe ser analizado con una metodología específica, partiendo de un análisis pormenorizado de herramientas digitales, memorias informativas, justificativas y planos de ordenación provenientes del Ayuntamiento de Valencia, fuentes documentales y cartográficas del Archivo Municipal de Valencia y bibliografia . La metodología empleada será un análisis morfológico del tejido urbano de al menos cuatro planes parciales que se sitúan a la parte Sueste de la ciudad, siguiendo el transcurso del antiguo cauce del río Turia hasta la costa Valenciana y dos elementos estructurantes; La Dársena y el Jardín del Río Túria. Se analizarán los atributos de centralidad que aportan cada uno de estos proyectos; analizando las infraestructuras de conexión, la relación entre los espacios; la singularidad arquitectónica, el tamaño de los sectores, la mezcla de usos y la funcionalidad del lugar. Como consecuencia del análisis morfológico del tejido urbano, se establecerán los puntos más significativos de los planes parciales del Sureste de Valencia, así como de los elementos estructurantes para ver la relación entre ellos, qué es lo que aportan, y cuáles son los elementos que dificultan la expansión de la ciudad hacia el litoral creando una desconexión entre barrios. Se expondrá aquello que supone la inclusión del Plan Parcial del Grao a la ciudad de Valencia en esta parte de territorio para ver la relación con el resto de los proyectos y planes, y qué criterios de sostenibilidad se incorporan al futuro de Valencia.

[EN] The present end-of-degree work aims at the analysis of the growth of the city of Valencia towards the sea, which for years has been a highly questioned subject considering that the origin of the city was situated next to one of the meanders of the Turia River and did not emerge being a maritime city, it was fluvial. In the middle of the XXI century, the city of Valencia begins to acquire importance the growth of the eastern sector of the city, developing towards the coast along with the Turia River Garden that has become a linear park that is linked to the city of Valencia. This analysis will yield results on whathe that growth is like and what it will mean for the city of Valencia, distinguishing between Structuring elements and Partial plans. Another objective is to study the importance of creating a new urban centrality in the city of Valencia located towards the sea in front of the historical centrality of the Ciutat Vella. Also what is the sustainability criteria that are being implemented in the new cities of the future and that will be favored in the new transformations of this urban fabric. The Partial Plan of Grao is the key project that together with the river completes the connection with the port and the completion of the last sections of the Turia Garden, providing the Grao neighborhood with a morphologically differentiated landscape. To carry out this process, it must necessarily be analyzed with a specific methodology, based on a detailed analysis of digital tools, information and supporting reports, management plans from the City Council of Valencia, documentary and cartographic sources of the Municipal Archive of Valencia and bibliography. The methodology used will be a morphological analysis of the urban fabric of at least four partial plans that are located to the Southwest part of the city, following the course of the old turia riverbed to the Valencian coast and two structuring elements; The Dársena and the Turia River Garden. The centrality aC ributes provided by each of these projects will be analyzed; the connection infrastructures, the relationship between spaces; the architectural uniqueness, the size of the sectors, the mixture of uses and the functionality of the place. As a result of the morphological analysis of the urban fabric, the most signifi cant points of the partial plans of the Southeast of Valencia, as well as the structuring elements to see the relationship between them, what they contribute, and what they are elements that hinder the expansion of the city towards the coast creating a disconnect between neighborhoods. It will be exposed what implies the inclusion of the Partial Plan of the Grao to the city of Valencia in this part of territory to see the relationship with the rest of the projects and plans, and what sustainability criteria are incorporated into the future of Valencia.
