Renovation of two houses in Eendrachtskade Noordzijde 9-9i Groningen (The Netherlands)

Abstract

Intercambios internacionales. Hanzehogeschool-Hanze University. Groningen. Holanda. The final project proposed to us at Haze University is to define possible solutions for a restoration/renovation of use of two terraced houses in Groningen. EN9 is a personal private property, which consists of two adyoing buildings. The house on the left (9-I) used to be an ice-cream factory in the ground floor and is still occupied by residents in the upper floors (first & second). The other building (9), from now right house, as far as we know used to be a house, and the ground floor was a garden. In total we have 340,57 m² to redistribute. EN9 is located on the edge of city center of Groningen. And it is face to the Eeldersingel Road, one of the main roads in Groningen, which lead to N370, A7, and E22. It takes about 1 km from the location of EN9 to the city center, 1.2 km to the University of Groningen and 1 km to the central station. The neighbors around this project are much more resident than business
