Reconstrucción virtual del mobiliario doméstico romano a través de las fuentes antiguas

Abstract

[ES] El objetivo de esta comunicación es la recreación de los diversos ambientes domésticos de las domus romanas, prestando especial atención al mobiliario y la vajilla que se vinculan de forma muy estrecha con cada unas de las estancias que la componen. En primer lugar, se ha realizado una recopilación de fuentes antiguas, prestando especial atención a la epigrafía, las pinturas murales y los mosaicos; a continuación se ha realizado una catalogación de las piezas respondiendo a diversos aspectos como son el tipo de objeto o la estancia que ocupaban. En segundo lugar se ha procedido a la digitalización de las imágenes para su posterior reconstrucción utilizando el software SketchUp 8. Como conclusión, pretendemos reconstruir virtualmente el mobiliario doméstico romano para hacer más comprensibles estos espacios.

[EN] The aim of this paper is the recreation of the various domestic environments of the Romandomus, with particular attention to the furniture and dishes that are linked very closely with each one of the rooms within it. First, there has been a collection of ancient sources, with particular attention to the inscriptions, wall paintings and mosaics, then there has been a catalog of parts in response to various aspects such as the type of object or stay they occupied.Secondly we have proceeded to the digitization of images for late reconstruction using SketchUp8. In conclusion, we intend to virtually rebuild the Roman household furniture to make it understandable to these spaces.
