Spanish airports performance and efficiency benchmark a PESA-AGB study

Abstract

[ES] La finalidad del trabajo es el estudio de la eficiencia y el desarrollo de los aeropuertos de AENA (46). Para ello, hemos dividido España en 4 cuadrantes y hemos escogido 1 aeropuerto de cada cuadrante. De cada aeropuerto hemos recogido los 42 KPI (Key Performance Indicators) que marca la ACI para medir el desarrollo de un aeropuerto. Esto lo hemos hecho durante 5 años (2014-2018). Con estos datos, hemos realizado 5 estudios (4 self-Benchmark de cada aeropuerto y 1 peer-benchmark de todos juntos). Por medio de la herramienta matemática MACBETH donde hemos incluido la opinión de los especialistas. El trabajo previo a la parte práctica es un análisis de 25 artículos y una descripción detallada de las palabras clave. Para concluir, sacamos conclusiones de los resultados y se proponen mejoras del estudio.

[EN] The purpose of the work is the study of the efficiency and performance of AENA's airports (46). To do this, we have divided Spain into 4 quadrants and we have chosen 1 airport in each quadrant. From each airport we have collected the 42 KPI (Key Performance Indicators) that the ACI marks to measure the performance of an airport. We have done this for 5 years (2014-2018). With this data, we have carried out 5 studies (4 self-Benchmarks of each airport and 1 peer-benchmark of all together). By means of the mathematical tool MACBETH where we have included the opinion of the specialists. The work prior to the practical part is an analysis of 25 articles and a detailed description of the keywords. To conclude, we draw conclusions from the results and propose improvements to the study.
