ANÁLISIS E IMPLEMENTACIÓN DE TÉCNICAS LEAN MANUFACTURING EN UNA EMPRESA DEL SECTOR DE ARTES GRÁFICAS, CON UNA FACTURACIÓN DE 26 MILLONES DE EUROS ANUALES

Abstract

[ES] El presente trabajo de fin de grado se desarrollará en una empresa dedicada a la producción de mandriles, tubos, perfiles, anillas de cartón y la comercialización de palets y productos auxiliares y otros productos de papel y cartón con una presencia notable en la Península Ibérica. Esta empresa facturó en 2018 alrededor de los 26 millones de euros. En los últimos años, gracias a los productos reciclables que ofrece este sector, se ha apreciado un auge en la demanda, pero, además, se ha hecho más frecuente la petición, por parte de los clientes, de pedidos más cortos (partes de producción más pequeños). Este hecho obliga a la empresa a realizar más cambios de preparación de máquina Por lo tanto, la empresa sufre una reducción de capacidad y un aumento del tiempo de desperdicio sin añadir valor, ya que la máquina está parada durante más tiempo. Por lo que, obliga a la empresa a buscar maneras de hacer más eficiente la producción. El objetivo de este proyecto final de grado es implementar las herramientas y sistema de gestión del LEAN MANUFACTURING con el objetivo de mejorar el rendimiento en la producción. Esta mejora se buscará a través de técnicas que permitan disminuir o eliminar actividades que no aporten valor al cliente. Dichas actividades se conocen como desperdicios, que se detallarán más adelante.

[EN] This project is developed in a company dedicated to the production and marketing of tubes, rings, profiles, pallets and auxiliary products; which are made of paper and cardboard. With a market mainly based in the Iberian Peninsula, in 2018 the company invoiced more than 26 million euros. Due to the great variety of recyclable products offered by this sector, in the last few years the company has experienced an increase in demand for its products, but has diversified in smaller batches that, in practice, have become more production orders. To achieve this change in customer trend and not lose market share, the company has been forced to make more changes in the machine preparation in production chain. At present, it suffers a reduction in capacity and an increase in waste time that does not add value to the client because the time that the production system is stopped has increased. The company is focused on finding solutions to be more efficient. The objective of this project is to improve the production performance of the company through different techniques that allow the reduction or elimination of activities that do not add value to the customer. To eradicate, or at least reduce, the actions that are called ¿waste¿, a series of tools from the Lean Manufacturing management system will be implemented, to later verify if the desired reduction in preparation times has been effectively obtained.
