ESTUDIO Y PROPUESTA DE INTERVENCIÓN DE UNA TALLA DE SAN BLAS DEL SIGLO XV

Abstract

[ES] En el presente trabajo de final de grado se hace un estudio de la imagen de San Blás y se exponen de forma ordenada los procedimientos que se seguirán para la propuesta de intervención de una escultura lígnea policromada. Se trata de una talla devocional de San Blas anterior al año 1430. Perteneciente a la iglesia Parroquial del Rafol de Salem, un municipio situado en la Vall d¿Albaida, en la provincia de Valencia.

El informe se dividirá en tres partes, en primer lugar, se realizará un estudio de investigación sobre el contexto histórico de la pieza, en la que descubriremos su peculiar origen y conoceremos la población a la que pertenece. A continuación, se investigará y se comparará con otras piezas similares de otras parroquias y otras imágenes de San Blas creando un marco teórico.

La segunda parte del trabajo se someterá la imagen, caso de estudio a la realización de un análisis fotográfico para la documentación de todos los daños que presenta. Se realizará un mapa de daños con los datos recolectados en el control fotográfico y se procederá a redactar el proceso de conservación y restauración que se propone para llevar a cabo, de cara a una futura intervención de la pieza.

Finalmente, el trabajo tendrá una tercera parte donde se aconsejará una serie de medidas de conservación preventiva para la correcta perduración en el tiempo de esta extraordinaria imagen del siglo XV. Y también se expondrán los resultados y conclusiones obtenidos durante el proceso de trabajo.

[EN] In the present final degree project, a study of the image of San Blás is made and the procedures to be followed for the proposed intervention of a polychrome wood sculpture are presented in an orderly manner. It is a devotional carving of San Blas prior to the year 1430. It belongs to the Parish Church of Rafol de Salem, a municipality located in the Vall d¿Albaida, in the province of Valencia.

The report will be divided into three parts. First, a research study will be carried out on the historical context of the piece, in which we will know its peculiar origin and we will know the population to which it belongs. Next, it will be investigated and compared with other similar pieces from other parishes and other images of San Blas creating a theoretical framework.

The second part of the work will submit the image, a case study, to a photographic analysis to document all the damage it presents. A damage map will be made with the data collected in the photographic control and the process of conservation and restoration that is proposed to be carried out will be drafted, with a view to future intervention of the piece.

Finally, the work will have a third part where a series of preventive conservation measures will be recommended for the correct durability over time of this extraordinary image from the 15th century. And the results and conclusions obtained during the work process will also be exposed.
